Celestine left Ghana in 1982 with the family to join her husband in Swaziland, where he was posted after a few years sojourn in Nigeria and Cameroon. Swaziland was a marked change of environment for the new family—from the sweltering heat of Accra to the crisp cold weather of the capital, Mbabane. Celestine adjusted quickly to her new home and began teaching at an early childhood learning center in the capital. She also made time to acquire new skills that showcased her di-

A garden of the heart; She planted all the good things, That gave my life it's start.

She turned me to the sunshine, And encouraged me to dream: Fostering and nurturing The seeds of self-esteem.
