The Miami Design District is a very delineated neighborhood focused mainly around car culture. The neighborgood is in a very pime location as it is surrounded by major highways and primary roads. North Miami Avenue is west of the site, and serves as an urban connector joining several districts. This specially focuses around the area of Midtown and its relationship to the design district. All other streets shown fall under the category of secondary systems because they seem to be more local as they join smaller networks and conduits within the very same district in which they are located.

Designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architects in 2014 and located in Arnhem, Netherlands. Rozet Cultural House provides space for cultral and education instituitions. Designed as an elongation connecting the central route between the station area and church square. A dense pattern of concrete, pale-shaded mullions cover the outside while the inside forms a glazed interior that acts as a route intersecting the building on all floors.

A tower of books is encased inside a glass pyramid at this public library that Dutch firm MVRDV have completed in Spijkenisse, the NetherlandsThe new public library is part of a larger plan to strengthen and intensify the town centre. Named Book Mountain, the building contains a spiralling trail of staircases, pathways and terraces that create a 480 metre-long route through five floors of bookshelves towards a cafe beneath the pyramid's apex. MVRDV have also designed the neighbouring development of 42 houses for a local housing corporation. The apartments inside the plan vary strongly in size, from studio apartments to housing fit for large families, attracting a more diverse urban population.`

The Uithof university campus in the south-east of Utrecht is famous far beyond the borders of the country for its modern architecture. Based on a master plan by Rem Koolhaas, the density of the development was increased.Interior volumes house the various lecture rooms, desks, bookshelves and archives, on different levels, now as an open terrace, now as enclosed rooms with balconies and openings. Particularly effective is the meeting room above the reception area, cantilevered and completely glazed towards the atrium. The touch of red on some fixed furnitures enrich the chromatic scale of the interior, and catches the attention on the important spots.

FIRE SAFETY NOTES 1. SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL BE HARD WIRED (110 VOLT TYPE) TO A NON SWITCHABLE KITCHEN OR BATHROOM LIGHTING CIRCUIT AND SHALL NOT BE CONNECTED ONTO THE LOAD SIDE OF A GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER. 2. SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL BE LOCATED ON THE CEILING OR NO MORE THAN 7" DOWN FROM THE CEILING ON THE WALL AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
