XSR900 GP
Distinctive design evocative of Grand Prix racers of the ‘80s and ‘90s
The XSR900 features an upper cowling reminiscent of the 1980s ‘Golden Era’ of Grand Prix racing. The cowling, combined with separate knuckle guards, not only gives off vibes of the YZR500, but the added aerodynamic effect increases top speed and acceleration. A colourmatched seat cover on the passenger seat completes the racer look with a boxy 1980s style rear end.
New 5-inch full colour TFT display with connectivity
A new five-inch full colour TFT display is housed in the retro-styled cockpit. You can choose from four display themes to suit a range of riding experiences, including an analogue-style tachometer, inspired by race bikes of yesteryear. For an enriched riding experience, smartphone connectivity comes as standard on the XSR900 GP, ensuring that you can stay connected while riding by linking your smartphone with your machine via the MyRide app.

In line with the mantra of blending yesterday’s style with modern technology, the XSR900 GP boasts the latest in suspension technology, including fully adjustable KYB upside down forks and link type rear suspension, which are both optimised for enhanced handling to accommodate the sporty riding style.
Newly designed clip-on handlebars and handlebar switches
To offer the sporty riding style to suit its raceinspired aesthetic, the XSR900 GP has riser clip-on handlebars fixed above the top yoke. This moves the rider further forward on the machine, increasing the load on the front to offer the more precise feeling expected from a race-style machine, but with enough comfort for road riding.
Yamaha first introduced the Deltabox frame in their Grand Prix bikes in the ‘80s – pioneering a new technology that shaped the future of the sport production motorcycle. The Deltabox-style frame remains at the heart of many Yamaha motorcycles to this day, including the XSR900 GP. To accommodate the XSR900 GP’s sportier riding position, the chassis has been tuned to improve stability in turning and increase front end feedback.
The newly designed, comfortable rider’s seat has been designed with the style of ‘80s and ‘90s racers in mind. Enclosed side panels are added beneath the seat to continue the half-faired race look and are secured with race-style D-Ring fasteners for quick and easy removal. The seat cover sits over the passenger area, and can be removed for pillion riding.
New style footpegs and positioning
The die-cast aluminium footrests are adjustable in two positions – upper and lower. These footrest positions have been revised to match the sportier ergonomics, accommodating for the new seating position and dropped, clip-on handlebars.
The advanced, R1-derived 6-axis IMU controls the extensive suite of rider aids, including Lean Sensitive Traction Control and ABS, Slide Control, and front wheel Lift Control System among more. Yamaha Ride Control allows you to select the engine power characteristic and level of intervention from the lean sensitive rider aids to suit your preferences and road conditions. Three pre-set integrated riding modes, ‘SPORT’, ‘STREET’ and ‘RAIN’, featuring factory settings with different intervention levels to suit different conditions, are complemented with manually adjustable ‘CUSTOM’ settings.

The XSR700 is a true legacy machine, earning it’s stripes on the road. The beating heart of the machine is the versatile character. The XSR700 is a bike to be ridden, anyway you like. From casual cruising to hitting the twisties, the bike can do it all.
An accessible motorcycle that is enjoyable for both new and experienced riders. The 2-part frame, tank construction and seat design are still a key factor in the XSR700, safeguarding the easy-to-customise feature the bike is renowned for.
The character of the XSR700 is defined by the sublime combination of a light and agile frame and the torque-rich, playful CP2 engine. The super nimble bike is easy to steer in any setting, from curves and twisty roads to busy city traffic, you’ll have a blast either way.
New XSR Family LED lighting
The XSR700 is fitted with a heritage inspired round LED headlight with a split projector and a semi-circular position lamp. The LED tail light features a classically shaped round form, and the compact LED indicators are more subtly shaped, whilst providing outstanding visibility.
Revised Cockpit layout with integrated headlight stays
Also classically shaped with modern features, the Inverted LCD meter has been placed in a forward position for improved clarity and visibility. The lines and position are designed to match the all new head light, giving the bike a sleeker “snub nose” look on the front end.
Evolved design details
To accompany the all-black handlebar and levers, the switches have received a technical upgrade, making them more user-friendly. Allowing the rider to access the inverted LCD display remotely. The radiator has also received new side cover and the repositioned headlight has new integrated stays to provide a cleaner appearance.
690cc CP2 high-torque EU5 engine
With the increasing maturity of the XSR700 there are several improvements made both in performance and in safety. As with its CP2 brothers the XSR700 is fitted with the EU5 compliant characterful 690cc engine. Refining the rideability of the XSR700 even more – but keeping every bit of fun with the multi-talented engine performance.
For easy manoeuvrability and sharp agility, the XSR700 runs with a slim, light steel backbone frame that is easily customisable due to its two piece subframe. Combined with its compact wheelbase and easy natured suspension system, this strong and light chassis gives a responsive and engaging ride.
This first machine born under the Faster Sons philosophy delivers genuine retro cool with hints of vintage styling without compromising on riding control. Chassis dimensions and weight distribution have been carefully set to maximise the enjoyment felt during acceleration and give the rider a connected feel with the motorcycle.
To refine the riding performance the XSR700 has been fitted with new, larger 298mm front brake discs for improved feel and stopping performance, meanwhile the revised front fork and Michelin Road 5 tyres provide enhanced feedback from the road to inspire rider confidence.
The colour schemes were influenced from iconic motorcycles of Yamaha’s rich history. The famous 2-stroke RD350LC from the early eighties provided the inspiration for the modern interpretation of the colour schemes, resulting in the crisp Historic White and a more elegant Historic Blue combination.

Along with the Deltabox frame, 17-inch wheels, 1,330mm wheelbase and 815mm seat height, this specification makes the XSR125’s adaptable chassis ideally suited to riders of all sizes.
Stylish block pattern tyres
The XSR125’s lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with great-looking block pattern tyres that provide plenty of traction. The combination of a 140/70-17 rear tyre and a 110/70-17 front tyre gives a confident and predictable handling feeling, making this agile lightweight one of the best ways to explore the city.
High-tech LED headlight and taillight
The classic-style round headlight and round taillight are perfect examples of how the XSR125 blends retro cool with up to the minute technology.
