Hints and ps to make teaching turning right easier.
Looking and Point of Turn
Hint and p The point of turn is when the right door mirror is in line with the centre line of the new road. The posion to stop should be so the right-wing mirror has blocked out the corner of the juncon Speed and Gear
Hint and Tip Judging whether you need to stop should have been decided at the point of gear change. The gear should be selected at a place where it’s safe and allows me for the pupil to be able to have to observe what’s in the new road and where to turn, 3 lines from the point of turn. Posion
Hint and Tip Be in the correct posion at five lines from the juncon and six inches away from the centre line which can be seen in the right door mirror.
Mirrors and Signal
Hint and Tip Check mirrors at eight lines away from the juncon and signal at 6 lines away. Mirrors will also be checked again before turning.
