Dream Hotel
Project Type: Hospitality
Location: Palm Springs, California, USA
Work Type: Company Work
Date: 2023
The Dream Hotel and Resort and Event Center project, located at 450 North Calle Alvarado in Palm Springs, involves constructing a 5-story condominium building, a 5-story hotel building, three resort villas, and a freestanding event center on a 7.8-acre site. The project includes one level of below-grade parking and support areas, with public areas on the first floor and four levels each of hotel guestrooms and condominium units above. The development will feature 169 guestroom keys, 24 private residential units, a 10,000+ sq. ft. event center, a fitness center, and a major restaurant open to the public. The condominium building will be 56 feet high with provisions for 64 feet for elevator and mechanical penthouses, while the hotel building will be 46 feet high with provisions for 54 feet. Phase I includes the construction of the below-grade parking garage, and Phase II will encompass the hotel and condominium levels, villas, event center, and swimming pools. This scope of work guided the schematic design phase, where I contributed to producing detailed architectural drawing sets using Revit.

Foodbank Santa Barbara
Project Type: Industrial/Warehouse
Location: LA, California, USA
Work Type: Company Work
Date: 2024
The Foodbank Santa Barbara project includes enclosing the open-air loading dock on the west side of the warehouse at 80 Coromar Drive, increasing interior space by 950 square feet to a total of 60,330 square feet. The project also involves enhancing building façades with new louvered designs, ornamental trim, and new doors, along with other aesthetic improvements. Site improvements include a new 600-square foot trash enclosure, an 800-square foot generator enclosure, and 2,400 square feet of new landscaping. This landscaping involves removing hardscape pathways, relocating trees, and adding new plantings.
Loading dock functionality will be upgraded with a new ramp and concreted pedestal for larger trucks, removing three parking spaces that will be reallocated through restriping. Additional enhancements include improved truck circulation, a new rolling gate for security, and upgraded parking lot safety lighting.
This project aims to improve the operational efficiency and aesthetic appeal of the Foodbank Santa Barbara facilities while complying with existing site agreements and minimizing visual impact.

The proposed project entails a significant expansion of Building B, adding approximately 50,195 square feet and 73 guest rooms. This expansion involves the demolition of 8 guest rooms in Building A (Azalea) and the removal of 2 guest rooms in Building B. To integrate the addition, 6 existing guest rooms in Building B will be reconfigured. The project also includes the reconfiguration of the western parking lot, incorporating new circulation paths, updated landscaping, and the installation of permeable pavers.
Additionally, Building A (Azalea), a 4,700 square foot structure, will be demolished to make way for new amenities, including an adult swimming pool, a spa, an outdoor fire pit lounge area, and a bar. These enhancements will be situated in the northwest corner of the parcel, near South Calle Cesar Chavez and East Cabrillo Boulevard. The architectural design of the expansion will comply with HLC guidelines, ensuring compatibility with the existing architectural style. This project aims to enhance guest experiences and improve the overall functionality and aesthetic appeal of the site.

Project Type: Community Center
Location: LA, California, USA
Work Type: Individual Work
Date: 2021
The L.A. MED-HIVE project re-envisions community resource centers across Los Angeles by strategically enhancing and centralizing their functions. Unlike traditional centers housed in rented storefronts or Parks and Recreation buildings, this project aims to create a more efficient and integrated system of public resources in neighborhoods that need them most. Focusing on a low-carbon lifestyle, the project leverages the new Metro station as a key daily connection point. It also addresses the community’s need for green spaces by providing diverse open space experiences. The site design separates pedestrian and vehicle circulation while maintaining existing traffic flow. The building program, from the first to fourth floors, includes retail, educational, medical, and community spaces, creating a comprehensive hub for community care and engagement. This project aims to enhance community support infrastructure while promoting sustainability and connectivity.

The Concept Development
Inspired by origami, the concept of the project was cut and stretched from a single layer of paper, and the space volume was divided and transferred, giving the audience a light feel. The building located on the seashore of Wellington and the sea breeze is more like a breeze blowing up the pages of the book, as the waves sway. The project will serve as an exhibition hall and will remain as a locker room on its lower level.
The concept comes from the thinking of people flow. People on the front of the building could have two choices: First, The can go downstairs into the exhibition area, Second, They can go up into the rest area. The main function of this building could be found on the -1st floor. Dressing room and washing room satisfy the basic demand of people who spend their holiday on the beach.

Project Type: Resident Complex
Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA
ork Type: Individual Work
Date: 2018
This project envisions housing for 5000 people within the Phoenix Metropolitan area by 2070, addressing the challenges posed by extreme weather conditions. As the climate in Phoenix becomes more severe, residents will need to travel long distances between survival points. The proposal focuses on creating eco-friendly and reliable housing solutions.
The project introduces lifted housing towers strategically consolidated around transport nodes, allowing residents to avoid the valley floor’s harsh conditions. These towers will leverage new, sustainable energy resources and will be designed to support daily routines centered around the highway, ensuring accessibility and resilience against extreme weather. This innovative approach aims to provide safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious living spaces for future Phoenix residents.

Design Concept
In 2070, the weather in Phoniex will extremely hot. Thus, natural resources, like water, green plants, will be limited. Since that, people need to leave most of the area where they live right now and gather around several survival points. With the development of autonomous cars and the long-distance between survival points, the human will rely more on the highway for daily routine. Plus a new engine for green energy generating less pollution, it is safe to say that it is a great option for humans to resident right nearby highway, especially highway nodes.

Sky Park
Sky parks are located on every level where paths connect different buildings. This kind diagonal cuts creates horizontal communications between buildings, the vertical connection between levels, and offer green space for people who work or live here can relax without leaving nodes
Highway Entry
The high entries offer the connection between highway and highway nodes. It will be one of the most important element to sustain daily routine
