XR Guru Content Guide

LEVEL 1 - BEGINNER

Exploration-level content exclusively using 360° video to show real-life experiences. This could be career exploration, ‘day-in-the-life’ training, lab experiments, and any other activity that can be recorded in real life. These experiences help users understand and visualize a real-life situation without physically being present. Level 1 can also include clickable ‘hotspots’ to navigate the environment.

LEVEL 2 - INTERMEDIATE

Level 2 content is a step up from 360° video and includes animated gamified environments and 3D models. This level includes animated lessons, walkthroughs of immersive environments, and interactive training scenarios. Level 2 interactivity consists of using the hand controllers to select predefined text/image boxes, select objects, or to move on to the next step. It does not allow for full manipulation of 3D models and objects.

LEVEL 3 - ADVANCED

Level 3 content offers full manipulation of the animated environment. The user is immersed in a scenario to grab and move objects. These experiences range from ‘playing with’ specific objects to full heavy equipment training simulations. Generally, these lessons come with a training component and an assessment.

VIRTUAL REALITY HEADSET

We recommend the Meta Quest 2 headset. It is stand-alone and wireless. To simplify the process, we offer headset bundles in sets of 5. This includes procurement, content configuration / set-up, and delivery.
