ANNUAL REPORT // 2019
TWENTY-NINETEEN
X Fam, What a year! So much changed for the better. We started off with a new name, new values, a new growth track and a new mindset for the future. Yet, the greatest thing God changed was us! Our staff is healthy, our culture is healthy, and frankly, I feel emotionally healthy! I am more excited about our future than ever. I believe God used 2019 to lay a new foundation for something special He is going to build on for years to come. Every year we want to reflect back on the goodness of God in our lives and in our community. One of the moments I will keep with me was having to announce our new name live online, due to having to cancel our big announcement two weekends in a row due to weather. While I hated having to do that, our staff had the most incredible time together worshiping and sharing the announcement in an unexpected way. It was a special moment for our team. Another memorable day was bringing our campuses together for OneX, held at BrewDog on one of the hottest days of the summer. Reaching people who would never dare walk through the doors of a church, making bold and audacious moves, seeing our heart for the community broadcast on the local news, and doing it all with the team and church I love so dearly - it was truly one of those days you hold on to forever. The unity we have felt in our church over this past year is unrivaled in all the days of our church.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME In the midst of all the new things we started - XU, X Night, SZN Parties, Team Night and much more, we got to be part of 318 people saying ‘yes’ to Jesus and 105 people getting baptized last year! In fact, during our Christmas Experiences, we eclipsed 5,000 salvations in the history of our church. How incredible is that? Let’s never take for granted what God is doing in our midst. Let’s never be so familiar with the miracles of God that we don’t appreciate what is happening right in front of us. Last year, we also got to see the advancement of our dream to build a new facility in Canal Winchester! Finally, we built the infamous bridge and the new facility is well underway. We hope to open this new building in August 2020. None of that would have been possible without your faithfulness and generosity to the mission of this church. Your giving and sacrifice for our Exceed Vision for 2020 is what has allowed all of this to happen. On behalf of my family, I want to personally thank every single one of you who was on the journey with us last year. To every person who gave, invited, served, loved our community and led people toward Jesus, I am deeply gratefully for you! I can’t wait to see what happens in the life of this church in 2020. Let’s go!

DEBRAH SMITH I haven’t always felt worthy. But over the last year my life has changed. I drive over an hour to get to church every Sunday. And I get there over an hour early - to rally, pray, to be inspired and to serve. And I love it. And now I can’t get enough - so when I’m not at church I spend my week getting to write letters and notes to people that I think might need encouragement. God has been so kind to me - and I want other people to feel that! I feel the love from the people in this church and the excitement and the Holy Spirit that is in this place. I feel a fire in me and I love doing what I do. I realize God loves me for me and it’s a joy to greet and smile and love everyone that walks through the doors. I’ve gone through XU and learned more about my relationship with Jesus. Last month, I took my next step of faith and was water baptized. God is so good!

XO WEEK XO Week is one week that we set aside every year to reach out to our community and surrounding cities to make a difference in the lives of others. Before we can meet people’s needs spiritually, we need to meet their needs practically. From “XO specific event?” to joining with our partners at NBC4 to collect backpacks with school supplies to help equip students in multiple school districts throughout Franklin and Licking County. X Church servant leaders invaded the community and made a vast impact.
OVER 1,500 IN ATTENDANCE OVER 1,700 BACKPACKS COLLECTED 1 BIG IMPACT
OneX was a Party with a Purpose! We celebrated a week of impact in our community with an incredible worship experience followed by a full day of family fun. We partnered with The Brockstrong Foundation and NBC4’s “Stuff the Backpack” initiative. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate $10,000 to directly support the schools in Central Ohio. More than 1,500 people came out to enjoy live music, bounce houses and food in order to raise funds and give back to the community.
In 2019, X Church was able to be the hands and feet of Jesus by taking our mission of “Helping People Get on the Path to God” outside the walls of our church globally with mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
43 PEOPLE WERE SENT ON A MISSION TRIP
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC TR I P 1 We were blessed to be able to return to Freedom International in the Dominican Republic with a small but mighty team of 10 ladies. Freedom International’s ultimate desire is to see people glorify the Lord in all areas of life. They believe in equipping children and families with the resources needed to enrich not only their own lives but the entire country. They do this by investing in the children through discipleship, love and quality education. Our team was able to teach English to students between the ages 4-11, help facilitate VBS, and be a part of the overall development of so many bright futures. The Freedom campus is ever-growing and expects to be under construction for several years to accommodate their ultimate vision of 1,800 students enrolled in their school. We were able to provide hours of painting and construction, as well as build an entire cabin for the children to experience a fun church camp setting. The goal of the camp is the same as the school; long term discipleship and to be a part of an environment that lends itself to thinking deeply about life and daily decisions. We were truly blessed to see the way God continues to provide through Freedom and to see little lives changed as they accept Jesus as the leader of their life.
TR I P 2 We partnered with two local churches in a remote and impoverished area in western Dominican Republic to provide access to clean water. The Dominican people are greatly affected by the global water crisis. Women, especially, are affected by the water crisis, as they are often responsible for collecting water. This team was able to provide clean water by installing water filtration systems for the local families. We were also able to connect with the women and children by providing a women’s ministry and VBS for the kids.
PUERTO RICO We also took a team of 20 people to Canóvanas, Puerto Rico (just outside of San Juan) to continue to build our partnership with Pastor Abraham Morales and his church - Primera Iglesia Bautista Peniel. Puerto Rico had faced a heartbreaking amount of damage from Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and we were blessed to be a small part of the cleanup and showing the love of Jesus. During our week there, we were able to help repair several roofs, paint a newly rebuilt home, and minister to the people affected by unfathomable devastation and loss. We prayed with people in the neighborhood during prayer walks, ministered at a senior center, held a women’s ministry to bring freedom and healing, and built relationships with the members of the church. The hurricanes did much more than cause physical damage, they caused emotional damage, as well. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, and suicide affect so many in this area. We were able to focus on building relationships with those we were serving and those serving along with us. Despite all of this, the Puerto Rican people are the most loving, warm, open and hospitable people and we are extremely blessed to have the opportunity to return in 2020 to be used in whatever way God has in store for us.
