The goal of this project was to physically construct a Pavilion at Allerton Park, Illinois. While serving as a tool to explore tectonics and fabrication, the folly would also facilitate the observation the changing natures in the scenic landscapes of the park. For this, our eleven-member team went through a 15-week long intensive process of studying materials available at Allerton, investigating ways to fabricate them and finally construct the pavilion to be installed at a strategic location at the park. Key challenges, and perhaps the most exciting parts of the process included a detailed understanding of the material ,the construction process for actual buildability and the workflow and logistics.
