As part of a larger programme for green spaces , UAL planned to open a dye garden in September 2022 in the ‘Playground Garden’ adjacent to the building on Wilson Road. The dye garden will be a space for students and staff from across all years and courses to come together to garden, make dye and more. In order to achieve the goal of a long-term, sustainable, flourishing. The garden design and the making of the planters, which is innovative, fun design ideas on how with a small budget and some hand tools can create something special.

There is a list of possible materials but not certain. And I get the information that the project may only be built with simple tools so the construction way should be easy.
The planters are planned to be adjacent to the CCW foundation building on Wilson Road. The site may need to return or use for other purposes. So the planter have to be movable.
There is a list of materials given before the build stage that available for the construction. The basic dimensions requirement is W1200 x D450mm x H450, So the Length and Wide are considered to be close to that measurement. The design will be built by volunteers with teachers and, so I pick the easy way to construct the planter, which can be built with basic tools.
I am the one in charge of measurements and construction way during the design process which my parter focus on Rhino model. Like the flow chart shown on the left-hand side, I was thinking of the easy way like IKEA style to build with wood-treated timber. It will allow people to build with simple tools.

This project is focused on which body, design, and space are smartly compounded as one organization. It is also connected to the word - Interpersonal Distance. Through this word, I explore the different relationships between people and how interpersonal distance affects them. Base the comfortable Interpersonal Distance Scale is used to measure my interpersonal distance preferences of mine in public spaces.
The worry and anxiety about COVID-19 and its effects can be overwhelming. Social distancing makes it even more challenging. Learn how to deal with this outbreak. I try to design something that can let me feel comfortable and safe just like the magic spell ‘Protego Totalum’, which was used to stop and repel any intrude.
People are asked for social distance for a long period. During the period everything slowly returned to normalcy. Are people prepared well for the lifted lockdown and ready for meeting people again?

Shed Model Version III
I chose version III because it has the most flexibility and can open and close easily. It allows people to choose the area of open space in different situations and is easier to wear.

Strange creatures

Type: Cafe, Healing Space Location: DE CEUVEL, Netherlands
Being happy should not be hard. This project will focus on the study of happiness around forest therapy.
The Dopamine secreted when eating sweets and enjoying the sun can make people happy. When people are close to plants , Terpenes from plants help them cope with stress, increase happiness and reduce fatigue. It should be noticed that these methods are very approachable but people always forget about it.
The site is located in an environmentally friendly space in the Netherlands, which the design has to meet sustainability requirements. So the construction way and the materials used in the installation are considered the less pollution way first.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps control the brain's pleasure and reward centers. Studies have shown that dopamine also plays an important role in movement, attention, learning, and memory.
Happiness should not be something hard for people to gain. From reseach of happiness, I notice that there some easy way to increase happiness chemicals.

Type: Fruit Market, Boat Dock, Retail Space Location: Xiao Zhou Village, Guangzhou, China
The building is both a traffic station (sightseeing boat) and a retail space (fruit market). The main consideration lies in how to re-construct the relationship between the building and the local development. The project focuses on the use of local materials and elements. Explores how the Mix-use space idea can contribute.
Driving on the road in Xiao Zhou Village, you can see a large amount of small vendors selling melons and fruits on the road. This situation not only affects the appearance and management of the city but also brings problems to the safety of the community and the rights of consumers. Standardization of market demand is urgent. At the same time, considering the cultural promotion, put forward the suggestion of cruise ship sightseeing water towns.
Xiaozhou Village is located in the southeast of Guangzhou. It is surrounded by water on three sides. The river is one of its biggest features. People pay more and more attention to the comfort of tourism, so the cruise ship is set up to meet the development of tourism and show the history and culture of the village
Fruit is a speciality of Xiaozhou Village. During the investigation, it was found that the management of sales was very unreasonable . Fruit farmers have no reasonable space to sell fruit and occupy the road, and the selling crowd is limited. So it is very important to open a reasonable selling space
Shopping is increasingly predatory to effect and become part of our daily life. It shapes the form of public activity in both the mechanisms and spaces of shopping. We mostly consider people to shop by their own will, so single-function space would face the issue of not being attractive enough and sometimes the customer base is unicity.
The combination of boating pier and shopping for special local products works on the other way: slow down passengers, and “force” them to shop which may also increase sales volume and raise awareness together

I didn’t use 100% traditional style for the building to make it fit into its environment while some of the tedious details be removed. At the same time, using shading relationship is used to highlight the architectural hierarchy.
I found an interesting old building: Oyster shell House . I found that the material of the oyster shell is easy to obtain and has a strong effect on water and moisture, which is very suitable for the weather in Guangzhou. At the same time, the use of black brick as a material is encouraged to ensure the unity of the buildings.
