OWNER Noelle Kan, from Malaysia to Australia, Italy to the Philippines, this Master of Fashion graduate has maintained a close connection to her hometown. These influences culminate in Kanoe, a fashion collection that acts as a vehicle for communicating feelings and careers near to her heart.
ABOUT BATIK Batik is a wax-resist dyeing process that is applied on the entire textile. This method developed on the Indonesian island of Java. Batik is created by either drawing the resist dots and lines using a spouted instrument called a canting or printing the resist with a copper stamp called a cap.
KANOE Vintage tea towels from Europe, the United States, New Zealand, and Australia were used to make the apparel. Linen and cotton textiles include hand-drawn drawings as well as celebratory symbols specific to their nation of origin, such as quaint English cottages, cute koalas, and even paella recipes. It's the perfect item for casual days to add eccentricity. It's playful and tacky.
HISTORY Kanoe's owner took a different path, teaching in high schools for two years before moving to the Philippine island of Boracay to undertake humanitarian work for another two years. She felt and knew it was time for KANOE to be born as she set her sails back to the tropics where she grew up as a youngster. And with each new birth, a new journey begins. KANOE was born on October 31, 2016.
COTTON BATIK Batik is a wax-resistant colouring method that is used throughout the cloth. This method was developed on the Indonesian island of Java. Batik is created by either drawing dots and lines of resist with a slant or printing the resist with a cap, a copper stamp.

DESIGN STYLE
Alberto Bravo started We Are Knitters with Pepita Marín in 2011, inspired by the New York women who could be seen knitting on the subway.
CONTEMPORARY STYLE Modern style emphasises simple aspects that emphasise greys, beiges, and white tones. Sleek, careful elements that are hidden highlight an edited aesthetic.
MATERIALS The fabric wall panelling is constructed of linen, a material with a low embodied energy. The majority of the furniture is crafted from London Plane wood that was purchased locally.
The height of the closet shelf displayed for the high shelf was determined using 5th percentile male and female statistics in order to make it accessible to those with lower body sizes.
LIGHTING Track lighting is a lighting technique in which light fixtures are linked to a continuous track device that carries electrical connections.
A recessed light, often known as a downlight, is a type of light fixture that is put in a hollow opening in the ceiling.

MAZUMDAR BRAVO

ALBERTO BRAVO
They feel that excellent design is important and offers value above and beyond the apparent. Starting with our customers' goals and priorities, we create a one-of-a-kind design concept for each project that is practical, sensual, and environmentally conscious.
ARCHITECT YEAR ESTABLISHED "We Are Knitters" was formed in 2011 when creators Pepita Marin and Alberto Bravo visited New York City and spotted young people knitting all throughout the city, as well as the abundance of bright yarns and materials.
