Xinxin Wang is a senior Urban Designer and Landscape Architect. Xinxin has nearly two decades of experience in urban design, landscape design and planning in China. Xinxin has led a wide range of urban design and planning projects, ranging from city centre design, residential area design, regulatory plan, comprehensive city master plan, regional plan and strategic plan. Xinxin’s cross-scale practice gave her a broader unrestricted perspective of planning issues, and strong problem solving ability on both professional and political issues. Her projects covered many cities in Shandong Providence and some cities in Hebei, Henan Provence. In addition to her extensive planning practice, Xinxin has successfully finished a master degree based on Auckland regional development. Through this research project, Xinxin has extended her professional knowledge and developed significant understanding in the local New Zealand context, including zoning, housing, transportation, environmental preservation and heritage protection. Xinxin won one award from China Association of City Planning and eight awards from Shandong Association of City Planning. She also won the Fred Tschopp Landscape Architecture Scholarship for being the top Master of Landscape Architecture student at Unitec.
