Considering the main flow direction of the site, new buildings will be built on the side close to the commercial area, and new parks and green spaces will be built on the side of the residential area and the ancient town. The new park can not only serve the residential area, but also serve as the activity square, which is the medium for people to enter the new building.

The building function near the residential area is mainly community activity room and artist studio (blue), and the cultural exhibition space and Museum (yellow) near the commercial area and secondary road

The size of the new building is unified with that of the ancient town. The blue color is the community activity room and artist studio, the yellow color is the cultural exhibition area and Museum, and the red color is the restaurant, coffee shop and souvenir sale.

Dangkou ancient town is a typical traditional town in the south of the Yangtze River. Its architectural style is characterized by sloping roof, white walls and black tiles. Influenced by the natural environment, buildings are usually built by waterfront, and there are many hydrophilic platforms.

The purpose of this design is to connect the ancient town and the city. New buildings should not only inherit the traditional architectural form, but also create innovative forms.
