All the buildings mechanical systems are nested in the ceiling and walls, this leaves the solid and void structure of the chapel uninterrupted. The Chapels gutter system sit on top of the c-channel and funnels water to a pond on the entrance level of the site, which provides drainage without complicating the relationship between the roof and the skylight also creating a grotto space under the chapel with the pond adds to the diversity of spaces within the project, with the grotto both in the ground and within the building, the entrance courtyard carved in the ground but open air as well as under the building, and the main chapel space, which is both in the building and above the ground.
