IBMS Ensures You Live In A Sustainable Society Living in a housing society with sustainability goals among its guiding principles has become essential in the present times. With non-renewable resources depleting at an alarming speed, the need for their conservation is increasing by the day. The IBMS ensures just that – by managing and controlling building facilities through the use of advanced technology. Make sure, the society you live in has IBMS installed! ****************************************************************************** India, along with the rest of the world, is becoming increasingly urbanised. The rapid rise of urban spaces has thrown up immense challenges which can only be overcome by improving resource use and focusing on reducing pollution. With people becoming aware of global warming and the risks it poses to the planet, the idea of sustainability has gained currency in recent times. Sustainability has become a necessity with the constant exploitation of natural resources. Studies show that the world’s cities occupy just 3 per cent of land on the planet but account for 60-80 per cent of energy consumption and 75 per cent of the carbon emissions. The non-renewable resources the mankind uses are not only finite but also their excessive usage has damaged the planet immensely. In view of the alarming data, the need to build a sustainable society has become paramount. And for that to happen, a delicate balance between current needs and future requirements has to be reached. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals or SDG11, were adopted by the member states of the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call of action to protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The SDG11 deals with sustainable cities and communities. A natural corollary to these goals is the increased demand for a smart solution that can manage building facilities efficiently and ensure an optimal use of available resources. The rising adoption of technology in buildings has made that possible now. “The non-renewable resources the mankind uses are not only finite but also their excessive usage has damaged the planet immensely. The SDGs were adopted by the member states of the UN in 2015 as a universal call of action to protect the planet. The Integrated Building Management System is a system created to manage and control building facilities through advanced technology. A society with IBMS installed is proof enough that it is being guided by sustainability goals among its cherished principles. The system also controls and monitors diesel generator and water tanks by eliminating wastage of such precious resources.”
