Having transformed the BroadAPM JV into an incorporated Broad entity, grew the new Victorian-based Broad proposition into a $100M turnover business the 2 consecutive years, through leveraging a strong local client and supply chain network.
General Manager BroadAPM Joint Venture 2009 - 2013
As APM Managing Director, initiated and led a JV with national contractor and Leighton subsidiary Broad Constructions in order to shift the APM business into the larger project tier2 space, pursuing stability around client and supply chain risk supported through tier1 partner financial capability. A successful $65M JV specific project secured the ongoing relationship.
Managing Director APM Group 2004 – 2013
Led the APM business through structured growth over the initial 5yrs transforming without external capital, a $40M small business into a $100M+ well regarded corporatised SME. Consistently delivered profit growth and accumulated cash reserves that ultimately underpinned the business’ turnaround success following the GFC. Managed the business and it stakeholders through the next 5yr turnaround and consolidation period post-GFC, dominated by escalating financial risk and scarce capital, through securing profitable new busines; re-designing relevant commercial disciplines; reducing fixed costs; securing a public company JV relationship; and sourced external capital to enable consolidation. Ultimately, enhancing the business’ reputation through its turnaround success. 30 years in the residential and commercial construction industry. From trade background through site administration, project management and general management both locally and internationally before 10 years as Managing Director and business owner of a $100M+ private entity.
