THU 22 – SUN 25 AUGUST Following the success of last year’s Summer Youth Project, the Wyvern Theatre is thrilled to present the Madness Musical Our House.

Our House is a fast moving romantic-comedy featuring all the hits of Madness. The show tells the tale of Joe Casey and the two courses his life may take after committing a petty crime to impress his girlfriend.

What would have happened if he stayed to meet the police when they appear on the scene of the crime?

What would have happened if he had made a run for it?

The show features Madness favourites such as Our House, Baggy Trousers, My Girl, Driving in My Car, The Wings of a Dove and the all-time classic It Must Be Love.

When John Haddrell dies of a heart attack at the wheel of his car, the woman at his side is not his wife Margaret but his lover, Julia.

Recovering from the injuries she sustained in the ensuing crash, Julia is visited by Margaret, who apparently knows nothing of the affair.

Events take a sinister turn when Margaret begins to encroach on Julia’s life, engineering Julia’s dismissal of her home help, Gary, and her estrangement from her counsellor, Anne.

Left alone in the house together, Julia and Margaret are locked in deadly combat.

A TASTE OF THINGS TO COME WITH LESLEY WATERS’ RECIPE FOR POSH FRUIT & NUT

INGREDIENTS 600g (1lb 5oz) dark chocolate 85g (3oz) milk chocolate 55g (2oz) white chocolate 50g (1 ¾oz) hazelnuts, toasted 50g (1 ¾oz) pistachio nuts 50g (1 ¾oz) selection dried cherries & berries

1. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.

2. Place the dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate into separate heatproof bowls. Place each bowl over a pan of simmering water and stir with a spatula until chocolate has melted. Remove from heat and leave to cool for 5 minutes.

3. Pour the dark chocolate onto the tray and smooth out with a spatula.

4. Using a teaspoon, drizzle over the milk chocolate and swirl into the dark chocolate. Then decorate the surface with the nuts and fruit.

5. Make a paper cone with parchment paper and half fill with the melted white chocolate. Pipe the chocolate over the top of the fruit and nuts and leave to set.

After his much-admired appearances on Dancing On Ice, Keith Chegwin is back in Swindon to star as Silly Billy in Jack and the Beanstalk.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL Since October 2010 HQ Theatres, has been raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Theatres for Theatres Appeal. To date we have raised £390,000 for the appeal which aims to build new state-of-the-art operating theatres at the hospital, which treats very sick children from across the UK.

A booking fee is an additional payment on top of the ticket price that is retained entirely by the Wyvern Theatre to invest in the venue, whereas the majority of the ticket price goes to the producer of the show. Friends of the Wyvern, School Bookings and Group bookings (of 10 or more) do not incur a booking fee.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING For adults who require assistance to attend the theatre, we offer one complimentary carer ticket with your booking when one of the following is presented to a member of the Ticket Office staff: a) proof of Disability Living Allowance b) proof of Attendance Allowance c) Certificate of Visual Impairment

GETTING HERE

BY ROAD The Wyvern Theatre

is situated in the town centre 15 minutes from the M4 (Junctions 15 or 16) and the A419 and A420.

Follow the signs to the town centre and when approaching the Magic Roundabout you will pick up the signs to the Wyvern Theatre.

PARKING The multi-storey Wyvern Car Park (pay and display) is adjacent to the theatre. There is also a smaller open air car park next to the theatre.

BY TRAIN Swindon Railway Station

is just a 10-minute stroll through the town centre to the Theatre which is situated at the top of town.

BY BUS/COACH Swindon Bus

Station is just a short 5-minute walk through the town centre to the theatre.
