Dr Kathryn Boast - Class of 2008 Kathryn works in outreach and access for the University of Oxford. She splits her time between Hertford College, where she is the STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) Outreach Officer, and the Department of Physics, where she is an Access and Outreach Officer supporting students who want to apply to study physics at Oxford. Before this, she studied for a PhD on a dark matter detector experiment.

Squadron Leader Cath Gillespie Cath joined the Royal Air Force straight after A levels and was a Combat Ready Fighter Controller by the age of 19. She specialised in weapons and warfare and became a Senior Instructor at the School of Fighter Control. She was selected for flying duties and completed over 2000 hours in the E3D Airborne Early Warning aircraft, travelling the world on both exercises and operations.
