JANUARY 2020 WXXI’s annual initiative with Al Sigl Community of Agencies, DIALOGUE ON DISABILITY, kicks off Monday, January 20 with a week of special programming designed to stimulate dialogue about people of all abilities and promote a more inclusive community.
MEN CARING is just one of a handful of television and radio specials planned throughout the week. This film tells the story of three men who are the primary caregivers for adults with disabilities. In a field traditionally held by women, these compassionate men tell personal stories of how they were inspired to become caregivers for this special population. Through interviews, verité scenes, home movies, and family photos, viewers meet the caregivers and receivers and see the rewards of their unique relationships.
