Central Florida’s award winning historic schoolhouse turned wedding venue is fully restored to offer the perfect balance of vintage character and modern amenities. Our Venue features abundant natural light, chandeliers, hardwood flooring, a brick exterior with archways, market lighting, and original architectural elements. Conveniently located just outside of Orlando, Historic Venue 1902 is the perfect setting for your wedding day. You can find us in the Historic District of Sanford and the venue accommodates up to 175 guests. My wedding at Historic Venue 1902 was everything I could've wanted in a wedding venue and MORE! The charm of the old schoolhouse is well maintained while incorporating the wants and needs of a modern wedding! Aleshia and the entire team were very responsive in answering our questions via the Honeybook portal or in person at their monthly Open Houses I appreciated the preferred list of vendors as it steered me in the right direction in hiring a professional yet personable wedding vendor team. The location is ideal if you want your guests to truly be immersed in "Sanfording." I would absolutely recommend Historic Venue 1902 to anyone looking for a venue in the future!

My husband and I got married at 1902 and we have nothing but great things to say about them! They were extremely professional the entire time, very responsive with emails, and was there for any issues day of. We didn't have to wait days for a response if we needed to email them with a question, there was always someone available to answer our questions! We had a few last minute changes after our final counts were submitted and there was no problem getting things switched around. Everything went so smoothly with them! We can't recommend them enough! My husband and I got engaged in May 2023 and when it came to searching for a venue, there were so many things to consider; venue size, location, charm, accommodations, and most importantly, price! We checked out multiple venues and this one checked all the boxes! When I walked in the first time, I fell in love with the charm the place had and loved how unique it was! For starters, the venue was stunning and it spoke for itself! The get ready spaces were the biggest I’d seen of all the venues we visited; super spacious and could easily fit 8+ people in there without feeling crammed! I also loved that the venue offered a day-of coordinator to help ensure everything goes smoothly on wedding day. They hosted multiple “ open house” events, which allowed people to come in and speak with different vendors they typically work with, such as catering, DJ, flowers, etc This was such an awesome idea because otherwise I would have no clue where to start for finding out vendors! It also allowed us to see the venue with different styles of decor and it gave us ideas for what we would want for our wedding day too! Speaking of which, the venue had a plethora of decor to choose from which could be rented which was really nice! When it came to planning, the venue offered a portal which was the primary form of communication with the staff members, they were quick to respond
Venue 1902 is the absolute best and most professional team out there. Every step of the planning process they are ON IT. As a bride who gets easily stressed, on the day of the wedding, they handled everything with such ease. They listen to your wants and visions and do everything to make it possible. They make the whole process truly feel like its about you and your partner. They have SO many resources to create such a beautiful wedding!

HOW DO I BOOK A TOUR?
We would love to show you around and talk about options for making your wedding day stress free and a fun experience! Fill out our contact form, email hello@venue1902.com or call/text 407.986.8600 to set up a tour!
WHAT DOES MY RENTAL INCLUDE?
All packages include your ceremony and reception, tables and chairs, and planning and coordinating services. Catering and bar services are provided through one of our pre-approved catering partners. We offer full day rentals and amazing packages to choose from!
DO YOU OFFER ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGES?
Yes! We offer easy options to build a complete package with the venue and our vendor partners, which takes all the stress out of planning an amazing day!
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES OR SERVICE FEES ON VENDOR CONTRACTS?
We always offer easy booking and price transparency. No additional or hidden fees will be added to your rental package. No service fees will be charged on your vendor contracts, even with direct connections or referrals through the venue. Complimentary Vendor Selection Consultations are included with your venue rental.
HOW DO I RESERVE MY DATE?
Your date will be officially reserved once we receive your 10% retainer and signed contract. We offer easy online booking and flexible payment options.
IS HISTORIC VENUE 1902 HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, the venue is handicap accessible.
DO YOU ALLOW ANIMALS?
We are located directly across from a large city park, which is perfect for photos with your favorite pet. If you would like to include your pet in your ceremony, please contact us for additional information.
HOW MANY GUESTS CAN HISTORIC VENUE 1902 ACCOMMODATE?
The venue comfortably accommodates up to 175 guests for both indoor and garden ceremony options, cocktail hour and reception.

DO WE NEED TO HAVE EVENT INSURANCE?
Yes, and the 1902 team will purchase a Day of Event Liability Policy for you, in your name. The $200 policy purchase fee will be billed after your Final Details Meeting with our planning staff.
WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS FOR CATERING AND BAR SERVICE?
We offer an amazing all-inclusive catering package with Premier Event Services with exclusive 1902 pricing. Additional catering options include the choice of the following Caterers: Arthur’s Creative Events and Catering, Tabletop Catering, and Puff ‘n Stuff Catering. All the caterers will provide full bartending services, with the BYO alcohol option available.
DO YOU HAVE AN APPROVED VENDOR LIST?
Yes! We have a list of preferred caterers for food and bar service. We have a large suggested vendors list which has some of our favorite vendors to work with, but you are not required to use them. Once you book with us, we will send you the list and help you with vendor selection so you can find the perfect vendors to help you create your best day ever! Outside of catering and bar services, all vendors are welcome to work in our space as long as they provide us with the proper Certificate of Insurance.
ARE THERE ACCOMMODATIONS NEARBY?
Yes! In addition to many AIRBNB’s in the downtown Sanford Historic District, there are great hotels located nearby, with several offering the option of a shuttle service to and from the venue for your guests.

DOES HISTORIC VENUE 1902 OFFER RENTALS AND DECOR
Historic Venue 1902 offers onsite rentals. We have a large selection of furniture, backdrops, signage and wedding arches. The Historic Venue 1902 Team will work with you to select just the right pieces for your event and our staff will arrange it perfectly on your wedding day. We have incredible vendors who we will recommend to help you with any additional décor needs.
WHO WILL PROVIDE THE CLEAN UP AFTER OUR EVENT?
The Historic Venue 1902 staff will assist in helping you or your family load out your personal items. The venue staff and your vendors will take care of all the breakdown and clean up, letting you have peace of mind in knowing everything will be handled as you head off on your honeymoon!
