How to make your Prestashop store compliant with the GDPR- Rights of the Individuals directives?

[GDPR – RIGHTS OF THE INDIVIDUALS MODULE FOR PRESTASHOP] As the deadline for the GDPR compliance is approaching and it is must for all the businesses which collect the data of the EU citizen to comply with the GDPR. The GDPR- Rights of the Individuals module helps the Prestashop store admin to make their store compliance with the GDPR. There are some specific rights of the individuals under the GDPR and this module helps the store owner to comply with the GDPR requirements by using the GDPR module.

Introduction GDPR provides the new rights to the customers to protect their personal information. There are following rights of the customers under the GDPR: 1) Right of access by the data subject 2) Right to rectification 3) Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’) 4) Right to restriction of processing 5) Notification obligation regarding rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing 6) Right to data portability 7) Right to object 8) Automated individual decision-making, including profiling The GDPR module for Prestashop allows the sellers to comply with the GDPR directives with ease. The Prestashop – GDPR Module helps the store admin to provide an interface to the customers to access their rights. The GDPR module handles the following rights: 1) Cookies Consent Bar 2) Right of access to the personal data 3) Right to data portability 4) Right to be anonymous 5) Right to be forgotten 6) Right to data rectification 7) Right to restriction of processing (coming soon)

As per the requirement admin has the choice to enable/disable any of these rights.

How can customer request for the personal data by using the Knowband GDPR module for the Prestashop?

Step-1: Navigate to the My account section. Go to the GDPR tools section.

Request for the GDPR Personal Data report.

Step: 2 Confirm the GDPR Request.

Step: 3 As soon as customer will confirm the GDPR Personal Data Request, an email with the customer details will be sent to the customer.

A) Navigate to the GDPR Tools under the my account section. Click on the Personal Data Request Forgotten.

On requesting for the Account deletion request the customer will be notified that an email with the confirmation request has been sent to the registered email id.

10) Enable the right to data rectification: A customer has the right to update the incorrect personal data. The GDPR Customer Rights Module allows the store admin to let the customer modify the personal data like personal details, address etc.

4) Enable Right to Restriction of Processing: This feature will be updated soon.

5) Enable Store Policy Acceptance: If a customer would like to raise a request under GDPR rights then admin can add the condition to accept the Terms and Conditions before requesting for the GDPR request for the Personal Data, Account Deletion or Data Anonymiztion.

6) Store Policy Page: Admin can add the URL of the page on which all the Terms and Conditions are written, so that customer can go through the privacy policy befor making the request.

Cookie Consent Bar: The GDPR module for the Prestashop by Knowband also allows the store admin to display a cookie bar on the website. Customer can accept or cancel the cookie acceptance message.

GDPR Data Portability report at end-end: Admin can keep the track of the data portability activities from the back-office.

GDPR Forgot Request: Admin can easily keep the track of the data deletion request from the admin panel.

GDPR Rectification Request Customers can also modify their personal information by using the GDPR module and admin can keep the track of the changes made by the customers from the back-office.

GDPR Personal Data Report Request: Customers can request for the personal data and keep the track of the requests received from the back-office.

GDPR Email Templates: There are pre-defined email templates for the different GDPR requests.
