In July 2004, crowds lined the streets as the motorcade of U.S. First Lady Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna traveled through Kigali. They visited Rwanda, South Africa, and Tanzania, including an evangelical church in Kigali that shelters children orphaned by the 1994 genocide and those afflicted with 足AIDS.
