LV Prasad Eye Institute, MTC Campus Bhubanesear is recruiting research fellows for DBT wellcone trsut India alliance funded project for the position of JRF/SRF Job Title: Junior/Senior Research Fellow(Project) No. of Posts: 1 Project Name: Molecular mechanism of pseudoexfoliation glaucoma Sponsor of the Project: DBT Wellcome Trust Tenure: Up to 31.05.2021. Age Limit: 28-30 Years. Stipend: As per CSIR guidelines for JRF/SRF. Qualification required: M.Sc in Biological Science or Molecular biology or Biotechnology with 55% marks and NET. Experience: Experience in Zebrafish, cloning, plasmids, PCR,immunoblotting is preferable. Job description: Then applicant is supposed to work full time on working out a zebrafish model for glaucoma, a blinding progressive optic neuropathy. They will work alongside other research fellows who are working with cell line models or on clinical samples in the disease. So the applicant would work full time in our zebrafish lab working on transgenic lines and also create clones for creation of a disease model.
