A beautiful illustration of the surrounding estate surrounds the 3m tall bar, on the ground floor and is a real focus to any guests visiting the restaurant.
Pendant lights are made from wine pulp and dried flowers are used to create wonderful detailed screens + bar lights, taken from the estate.
The ground floor bar runs an impressive 10m and has a recycled glass counter-top, which is back lit in the evening to create an impressive focal point. The wall finishes are made from clay and on careful observation you can see that pressed flowers have been used to help continue The Doddington Hall story, of bio-diversity.
A carbon neutral, sustainable design. Part of the Doddington Hall estate. The Grain Store is inspired by local plant + animal life.
The Grain Store is a new restaurant that is currently under construction. This will give guests an opportunity to dine among the countryside whilst sampling some of the best quality Lincolns’ ingredients, grown on the surrounding land.
What I am really impressed about Amanda was her work ethics, she always try to go the extra mile and always has a determined ‘can do’ approach throughout the process. I particularly like how she always follows up with meeting notes outlining what was discussed and next line of actions.”

“APA has been a fundamental part in creating BACCELLO, her creative ideas of design, and aligning with my vision has been truly outstanding.
BACCELLO is wine bar and cicchetti restaurant for the wine lovers, the seasonal travellers + anyone seeking an environment where they can relax and share time with friends and family.
BACCELLO is a space that people feel at home, relaxed and welcome, they gravitate towards it after a long day. A place where they can meet with friends and family and share timeless moments, over a glass of Italian wine, cicchetti or perhaps an appetising board.
They was extremely helpful and went above and beyond at every step of the design process. We would recommend APA to any business looking for inspirational design.”
“APA completely understood our brand + delivered a game changing design package.
Delamere takes inspiration from the laid-back modern aesthetic of Scandinavian design, the design features a relaxed and neutral palette - including FSC approved timber, locally made ceramics and steel. The central counter is entirely clad in handmade duck-egg tiles and a fern illustrated border, with a backbar of raw timber and powder-coated steel shelves.
The design scheme helps to creating an inviting, family friendly, laid back environment. The overall concept evokes a relaxed ambience with a beautifully crafted design that creates a sustainable environment, the distinctive persona of the brand. The buildings large floor to ceiling windows help to immerse guests in the surrounding forest, even when inside the retreat.
EXTRA TIME was inspired by its’ name + therefore, design, artwork, signage + interior finishes are reflective of the greatest games that went into ‘extra time’.
Previously a gentlemans club ‘ Spearmint Rhino’ the site needed a complete refurb. We designed and worked with the fit out team to include a new mezzanine floor, to allow for extra covers + private events.
New sanitary rooms were added, + a large hexagonal central suspended structure, allowing for ample screens! Extra consideration was given to finishes, the red stripe that runs the perimeter of the bar is inspired by the changing rooms of past football grounds. The mesh screens represent goals + nets, + a reclaimed gym floor was added. Even the pendant lights have a story.
We undertook concept work for the interior design of their Leeds restaurant, inspiration was taken from the Chao Phraya river one of the major rivers of Thailand and the plant and river life found in these areas. A gold vein was designed to run through the restaurant’s floor, signafying the tributies and leading guests into various areas of the restaurant.
Sketches are a great way for us to convey a concept with our clients. The orange leather proposed for bar stools took inspiration from the buddhist monk robes, the tiles to the front of the bar reflect fish scales + temple roofs’.
We were asked to design a focal point in the restaurant, + a water feature was added to the centre of the dining area with four sections of water, each representing the four tributaries ‘Ping, Wang, Yom and Nan rivers’. This would not only be a great focal point but also a type of wishing well, collecting left over change for the clients favoured charity + allowing for guests to make a wish.
