World Without Orphans is privileged to lift up local leaders, believing that God gives leaders in each country and community the solutions to their nation’s challenges. Outsiders can be an important help, but local leadership and collaboration are critical for longterm solutions to implementing family-based solutions for orphaned and vulnerable children in every nation.
We see throughout Scripture that God calls together small groups of leaders committed to His vision to help transform their community and nation. In the book of Zechariah, a spiritual leader calls the people of Jerusalem back to God, and a practical leader leads the people to rebuild their community. Around the world, we are privileged to be in community with leaders like these, who know God’s heart for strong families, and are changing their world, one child, one family, and one community at a time.

WWO Mission
Call and equip national leaders to collaborate in solving their own country’s orphaned and vulnerable children’s crisis.
The World Without Orphans movement began in 2010 as a collaborative effort by Christians in Ukraine to focus on promoting family-based care and the end of the institutionalization of children. The Ukraine Without Orphans movement recognized that children’s best interests are served when they are raised in loving families rather than in orphanages or institutional settings.
What began as the dream to see Ukraine without orphans soon grew into a dream to see a world without orphans. Over the last 14 years, we have become a global initiative that brings together leaders from churches, organizations, government, and business
in each nation who share in the vision of creating a world without orphans.
We foster active learning communities in a growing number of countries in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Europe that helps our partners to develop and implement effective strategies for family-based care. We seek to address the root causes of family separation, including poverty, conflict, and lack of support systems, by promoting strategies and interventions that strengthen families and communities.

The WWO Roadmap, which was curated in 2019 by the World Without Orphans Executive Team, offers an extensive collection of resources and tools to provide a clear roadmap for the journey of pursuing God’s vision of countries without orphans.
These resources are backed by evidence-based research and fieldtesting and have been carefully chosen for clarity and effectiveness.

The WWO Roadmap is used to train and equip regional and national leaders in effective strategies for family-based care in four essential WWO Foundations: 1) broadscale collaboration, 2) prevention, 3) intervention and 4) living refreshed. As these leaders are equipped, they in turn multiply the impact by training and developing other leaders in their spheres of influence. WWO trained, mentored, and multiplied Regional WWO Roadmap Trainings in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

World Without Orphans’ third Global
Forum, “Together from crisis to HOPE” provided a dynamic platform for 460 influential leaders from 63 nations across six continents to gather, learn evidencebased strategies, and collaborate to better address children in crisis in their own countries. The Global Forum was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from February 29 to March 3, 2024, and featured over 60 sessions that were strategically designed to equip leaders to better address the growing number of children living in crisis today.

You helped bring HOPE and Healing to thousands of HOPE Group participants!
What started as an outreach to help mothers and children displaced from Ukraine due to the Russian invasion in 2022 has multiplied to spread hope and love and strengthen over 2,761 adults and 1,352 children participating in WWO Hope Groups.
Since July 2024, 80 new groups have been implemented, helping 560 families. New Hope Groups are being launched in every region of the world. They are also gaining respect in government, university, and scientific circles as practical, evidence-based tools to help families in crisis.
In collaboration with the Global Parenting Initiative, WWO representatives spoke on the success of the HOPE Groups at the 2024 Congress of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (IPSCAN) held in Sweden last summer.
These evidence-based groups have been scientifically evaluated, and their results speak for themselves:

says there have been many unexpected outcomes of the Hope groups such as resourcing jobs and language skills. Though never intended to provide this type of support, the natural relationships that develop during the Hope groups has led to participants providing help and support to each other in this area.

You helped global leaders continue their work to orphaned and vulnerable children through learning communities where leaders connect to God and others to help each other through tough times and offer teamwork to better serve orphaned and vulnerable children. Together we are stronger. Together more children are placed in loving families. Together more families are strengthened and reunified.

WWO is a ministry of multiplication. We believe that local leaders are the best positioned to solve their own country’s orphaned and vulnerable child crisis. We have seen that we can impact more children by supporting and helping local leaders receive coaching, training, resources, and relationship so they in turn can do the same for local pastors, government officials, social workers, parents, and other child advocates and care givers. That in turn, impacts thousands more children each year. Currently WWO partners and leaders are impacting over 500,000 children worldwide.
