Ideoxo Lab

I chose to enter Department of Industrial and Commercial Design in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology after I graduated from Jianguo High School in 2011. My major is Commercial Design. Before I entered, I had no knowledge of design. So the four years of my college life is so important for me. So these four years of my college life have been so important to me.

Not only learning in the school, my experience in the industry was also very important. So I came into contact with the industry after sophomore year. I worked with Chiu Ko Publish in 2014, and my job was drawing the book’ s illustration named 《Sweetness and Violence》by Hong-Li Chou. This experience impressed upon me knowledge of many of the unwritten rules of handling clients and completing projects, and helped shape my attitude as an industrial designer. This could not have been realized in the classroom.

Also, I love travel and photography. After I graduated from Jianguo High School in 2011, I took traveled to the UK with my three classmates. I feel it made me grow up. After that, I took a solo trip to Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, and trekked through India and Nepal in 2013. In India, I carried my luggage which weighed about ten kilograms, had no any plan, met many troubles, solved all the problems, and headed to Nepal for ten days, met many beautiful people. My memories are the best souvenirs I brought back with me. When I came back, I had a photography exhibition named “the chosen one” in Labu cafe near by Dongmen MRT Station. I think the most precious is the emotion and the status in that moment. I talked to every person I met, and even though we knew different languages, we still had a good time. Later, I hosted a photography exhibition named “Ordures, before breaking down” with Kun-Ju HO.

Writing is important for me, I have written poem since senior high, and then write prose, I won award in many competitions. I feel sensitive and powerful in my writing life. It makes me feel everything in every moment. It will be helpful in my design.

“The Chance to Speak Out” represents my thoughts on design. To me design is to solve the problem by a different way. And I hope I can find out more and more possibilities in my life of design.
