Welcome to GRAN CANARIA

JANUARY I ENERO 2019

THE LOPESAN COSTA BÁVARO IS JUST A FEW MONTHS AWAY FROM BECOMING A REALITY

■ Building work going on at the new Lopesan hotel complex, through subsidiary firm Ifa Hotels, at Playa Bávaro, in the Dominican Republic, are going to schedule, with the deadline for opening on target for this spring. The industrial area for the future Lopesan Costa Bávaro resort is split up into 4 large buildings, one of which will be to house the staff who will be working at the hotel. The main building meanwhile, the first of the establishments to be designed, is located on the piece of land right next to the sea shore, at the best part of this Dominican Republic holiday destination. The surface area of this tourist resort springing up around Playa Bávaro covers about 500,000 square metres. Its first phase is set to house an establishment with over 1,000 rooms, to be followed by another complex comprising a further 1,500 rooms. Following in the footsteps of the architectural model and spaciousness of surrounding areas of the Lopesan Costa Meloneras in Gran Canaria,

The future hotel will be opening this spring at the tourist resort of Playa Bávaro, in Punta Cana this latest resort will also feature extensive gardened areas and water settings. One of its many swimming pools will be the acclaimed ‘Infinity’, which will feature a double layer, the first of which will stand level with the hotel, while the second will connect directly with the beach, integrating it into the hotel grounds. The future Lopesan Costa Bávaro will be placing the accent on the variety of complementary facilities to offer all the very best services for holiday-makers at this top tourist resort: themed restaurants, a Spa centre, a complete Boulevard

with top and exclusive brands, a casino, a disco and a large theatre with a capacity for more than 1,000 spectators, plus other services. The investment made in this ambitious masterplan totals over 450 million dollars, and will enable the Canarian tourist company to have an accommodation capacity in the Caribbean superior to what it currently offers at its three resorts in Meloneras (Lopesan Costa Meloneras, Lopesan Villa del Conde and Lopesan Baobab Resort). The new establishment being constructed at Playa Bávaro provides employment to around 600 people in its construction phase, and once open this year will provide jobs for around 1,500 Dominicans. Given the difficulties that Lopesan have faced trying to find building land in the Gran Canarian municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, they have focused all their efforts on developing business in the Caribbean, where numerous facilities for investment are offered.
