The Launch.
On March 31, 2025, a presentation to the Skagit County Board of Commissioners on the scope of the problem of food waste was followed by the signing of the proclamation designating Food Waste Prevention week, April 7-13, 2025.

The Town of Anacortes also signed a proclamation.
Community Events.
Solutions for Skagit Food Waste on April 12th with about 35 community members in attendance.
A panel presentation and resource tables provided solutions to the food waste concern.
$1800 from raffle and sponsorship was received to support Museum of Northwest Art Youth Arts program.
