William Reaves Fine Art offers an intimate
exhibition of collages inspired by the current
Menil exhibition
featuring the work
of Kurt Schwitters.
Although Schwitters
was born and worked
primarily in Europe,
his massive volumes of
collages permeated the
art world encouraging
a receptive climate
by artists and viewers
internationally. His
experimentation and utilization with ephemera,
various texts, color, and found materials
ushered in an evolving appreciation
for a radical approach
to visual creation that
involved combining seemingly
mundane materials with a formal
and symbolic objective.
