ProjectNewHopeisproudofourcasemanager,ShelbyFrysinger,whoisatrueadvocatefor Veteransandtheirfamilies.Asamilitaryspouseof12years,Shelbyhaslivedthroughthe uniquechallengesofmilitarylifefirsthand.Herdeepcompassionandunderstandingshine throughherworkascasemanagerwithProjectNewHope,wheresheconsistentlygoes aboveandbeyondtosupportServiceMembersandtheirlovedones.
InFebruary2025,ShelbywashonoredtospeakattheBlueCordBall,anannualeventthat broughttogethermilitarycommunitymembersfromthe181stand182ndInfantryBattalions oftheMass.NationalGuard.
Duringherspeech,ShelbyaddressedamajorissueamongVeterans,Military,andtheir families:mentalhealth.Shespokeopenlyabouttheemotionaltollthatdeploymentsand militarylifecantakeonVeteransandtheirfamilies.Shehighlightedtheincrediblesupport availablethroughPNH,includingtherapueticretreats,andresourcesdesignedspecifically formilitaryfamilies.
ThemessagefromShelbytoallattendees-prioritiuzeyourmentalhealth.Seeksupportand helptobuildacultureofunderstanding,compassion,andconnectioninthemilitaryand Veterancommunity.
Gillianisashiningexampleofgenerosityanddedicationinourcommunity.Asa volunteer,shebringsanincredibleamountofenergyandkindnesstoeverything shedoes,fromorganizingthefoodpantrytohelpingwithfooddistributionand outreachevents.Ondistributiondays,Gillianisalwaysthere,makingsurethings runsmoothlyandthateveryonefeelscaredfor.Herwillingnesstotakeonanytask bigorsmall demonstratesherdeepcommitmenttoservingothers.Withher positiveattitudeandgenuineenthusiasm,Gillianisnotonlyaninvaluablepartof ourteambutalsoaninspiringreminderofhowmuchoneperson’sselflessness canimpactthelivesofVeteransandcommunitymembers,alike.

CommunityImpacthadagreattwo-dayvolunteeringsessionwithPNHinWorcester! Theyworkedtohelpprepforthemonthlyfoodpantry:fulfillingorders,takinginventory,and unloadingdonations.OnSaturday,theywerehereat7amtoloadveteranscarswithpantry items,milk,eggs,bread,andtoiletries.Weenjoyedgettingtoknowtheteamandwatchingthem connectwithVeterans.
