DelaneyNaylor’sjourneyintomassagetherapyhassinceevolvedthrough variousprofessionalexperiences,leadinghertoofferservicestoVeterans throughProjectNewHope,Inc.HerconnectiontotheVeterancommunityasthe spouseofaVeterantrulyignitedherpassionforgivingback.Thisledhertocross pathswithBillMooreandbeginvolunteeringattheFoodPantryinWorcester.
Duringtheseinteractions,shebecameacutelyawareoftheneedformassage therapyservicesforVeteransandmadeithermissiontouseherskillstohelp thosewhohaveservedselflesslyfortheircountry.
Withsevenyearsofexperienceasamassagetherapist,DelaneyNayloriswellversedintheartofhealingandrelaxation.Herdiversebackgroundincludes providingmassagetherapyservicesatevents,musicfestivals,andthrough Veterans,Inc.SheearnedherdegreefromtheBancroftSchoolofMassage TherapyandholdsaMassachusettsLicenseinMassageTherapy.Asamemberof theAmericanMassageTherapyAssociation,Delaneycontinuestofurtherher knowledgeandexpertiseinthefield.
Delaney’sexpertiseinmassagetherapyisbackedbyherextensivetrainingand professionalcertifications.Shehasbeenpracticingforsevenyearsandholdsa licensefromthestateofMassachusetts.AsamemberoftheAmericanMassage TherapyAssociation,shestaysupdatedwiththelatestpracticesandstandards inthefield.

ChairmassagesoffernumerousbenefitstoVeterans,particularlyintermsofstress reliefandreducingcortisollevels.DelaneynotesthatVeterans,asagroup,often experiencehighlevelsofstressandcanbenefitgreatlyfromthesesessions.The massagesalsohelpwithmuscularinjuriesorfatigue,focusingprimarilyonthe shouldersandback,butcanalsoincludethearmsandcalves.Thesesessions supportotherphysicaltherapymodalities,enhancingoverallphysicalwell-being. DelaneytailorshersessionstomeetthespecificneedsandconcernsofVeterans.She observesthatmanyVeteranshavelessexperiencewithmassagetherapycompared tothecivilianpopulation,makingitimportanttointroducethemgentlytothe practice.ThispersonalizedapproachhelpsVeteransfeelmorecomfortableandopen toreceivingthebenefitsofmassagetherapy.
AtypicalchairmassagesessionofferedthroughProjectNewHopelastsabout20 minutes.Thesessionbeginswithacheck-in,whereVeteransaregreetedbyDelaney. Shethentailorsthemassagetoaddresstheirprimaryconcerns,ensuringthateach individualreceivesthemostbeneficialtreatmentpossible.
DelaneytakesspecificprecautionstoensurethesafetyandcomfortofVeterans duringtheirsessions.Forinstance,sheismindfulofcontraindicationsrelatedto certainmedications,suchasbloodthinners,andadjustshertechniquesaccordingly toprovideagentlermassagewhennecessary.
WorkingwithVeteransthroughProjectNewHopebringsDelaneyadeepsenseof satisfaction.ShevaluestheopportunitytogivebacktotheVeterancommunity, recognizingthesignificantneedfortheseservices.WhiletheVAhasbeguntooffer massagetherapyinalimitedcapacity,Delaneyappreciatesthatherinvolvement withProjectNewHopeallowshertoreachabroaderaudienceofVeteranswhomight otherwisenothaveaccesstosuchbeneficialtreatments.

Central Mass Women Veteran Group
At Project New Hope Inc, we are committed to serving those who have served us. With great enthusiasm, we introduce our summer series for the Central Mass Women Veteran group a community initiative designed specifically for our female Veterans, Reserve, and Active Military, and National Guard members. This program aims to foster a nurturing environment where courageous women can build relationships, share experiences, and access valuable resources and support.
Project New Hope Inc., is more than an organization; it is a beacon of hope and support in the lives of those who have given so much for our freedom. Through initiatives like the Central Mass Women Veteran group, we continue to honor and support our female Veterans and Military members by providing them with the community and resources they need to succeed Join us this summer and be part of something truly transformative!
