My Holidays And Family
Holidays and Family
From the outside, my life consists of all happy moments. My friends, family and teachers all see me as a bubbly, positive girl that is full of curiosity and energy. There is this one secret that only I know. Holidays scare me. Starting at the age of fourteen, I began to realize that I have a fear of holidays. As holidays start to approach, I become nervous and anxious. I love Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years, but my fear consists of my parents. As an only child and having all my extendedfamily members living in Malaysia, I spend holidays celebrating with my parents. Holidays for me can either turn out to be good or bad. When I was little, my parents would have a big fight or argument at least once a year and it typically happened during the holidays. These fights always ended with my parents not talking to each other for days. My parents would talk to me about their problems and as an only child, I did not know how to deal with it. When these fights happened, I use to think it was my fault. I would cry while they would argue and continue to cry when I took a shower. The thought of my parents being mad at each other, made me sad and frustrated because there was nothing I can do. As I grew older, I realized that these fights were not my fault. I should not put the blame on myself. I learned to understand that married couples sometimes fight and adults have so much daily pressure they carry on their backs that little situations can become big

My favorite holiday is Christmas. Traditionally celebrated at home, Christmas is thought to be a family holiday. However nowadays the habits and ideas of people have changed very much and Christmas becomes more of the global holiday when it is appropriate to meet with many friends and go out for the round the night crazy celebration. Every person finds his own most favorite things about Christmas. In this small essay I will examine what this holiday means to me, and what are the best parts of it that I personally enjoy. As for me, the best thing about Christmas is that special feeling in the air that is giving every person happiness and hope for the better future in the next year.
During the Christmas celebration season people are...show more content... The celebration of Christmas is a special moment itself.
I enjoy the process of preparing for the holiday very much. Our whole family participates in the process. For many years I am responsible for the decoration of the house. I like putting the Christmas toys on the tree and lighting the candles. Also I go outside the house and see what can be decorated there. Especially I like when it snows outside. The snow is a symbol of the Christmas; to me it is also a symbol of the renewal and cleanliness of the upcoming event. In addition the streets are simply decorated already when it is snowing outside. In conclusion I would like to summarize the factors that make Christmas a particularly interesting and great holiday.
First of all, I enjoy the unique atmosphere of the holiday. The feeling that is present in the air at those days cannot be compared to anything else. The feeling of Holy joy and happiness arises every living thing to do good and kind things. The second thing that attracts me the most about the holiday is that during these days every person somehow goes back to the childhood. The presents under the Christmas tree along with congratulations from everyone in the street allows the person to feel himself young and full of strength, like in the days of youth when everything was possible and no worries could frighten him. The last but not least thing about

Planning Your Perfect Vacation
Choosing a destination for your vacation may be the easiest part of planning the whole trip but planning the details of it is the hard part. Some people have it down to a science and some do it all last minute. When you wait until the last minute to plan your trip it can end up being very expensive. I prefer to keep it simple and take my time planning my trip, keeping it as stress free as possible. The first step in planning your vacation is choosing the destination. Make sure that it is somewhere that you and/or your companion are going to enjoy. If you are planning to go out of the country, don't forget that you will...show more content...
You're going on vacation so pack comfortably
When you have chosen the location and received your passport the next thing you must do is choose the dates that you will be going on your vacation but you must also make sure that they corresponds with the climate. If you decide to go to a warmer climate then you may want to go between the months of October and May because the temperatures are not so extreme. If the hot summer months are what you enjoy, then I recommend that you go on vacation from June through September. On the other hand, if you choose to go to a cooler climate where it snows in the winter months I would go during the summer.
After you choose your destination the next thing you must do is reserve your airfare and hotel. This may be tough because there are many websites and travel agents that you can go through. I have found that it is cheaper and easier to go through Expedia.com. You can book your hotel and flight all together and pay one low price. I have also found that flying with Southwest Airlines is very cheap and they have many one way stops all across the country and for a cheap hotel that is very nice I recommend the Extended Stay America. While you are on your vacation make sure you make plenty of time for sightseeing. If you are going to the Caribbean or someplace that has a
beautiful body of water that had lots of ocean life in it then I recommend going diving or snorkeling. This is a great way to get in touch with

French Essays About Holidays
During my last vacation I went to France. My mum arranged this tour for me and my friends. We travelled there by plane. We went France last summer. So the weather was bright and hot around 23– 30 degrees. It was the best weather for camping but we stayed in Champs Elysees hotel. It was the most luxurious hotel I ever been. There was an attached toilet, TV lounge, bed room, balcony and wardrobes in my room. We visited Eiffel tower. The view of the Paris from Eiffel tower is fantastic because I saw taller buildings as ants. on the second day we went walked in world's most famous avenue Champs–ELysees. It was a great street to those who love walking and shopping. I bought few souvenirs for my family and friends in England. We visited...show more content...

My Holiday– Personal Narrative
This was the boarding day itself, the day which I had been dreading for weeks but also ecstatic about. The day started early for me, getting up at four in the morning due to the fact that I couldn't sleep that night. I felt mixed emotions as I was lying in bed, I was extremely excited for my vacation to Hong Kong since it was going to be my first ever holiday abroad. The fact that I would be flying on an aeroplane as well also made me feel petrified. The thought of around 60 people on an aircraft approximately 8,000 metres above sea level, on a plane that could catch on fire at any moment was absolutely terrifying and I was also told by my parents that the flight...show more content...
We then set off to the airport and the journey in the cramped car wasn't that thrilling but I decided to take my mind off the foul smell and think more about my five day vacation.
I heard from my friends that there would be loads of shopping for me to do at the airport so I could take my mind of things then as they knew I was anxious to go on the plane. Unexpectedly something suddenly vibrated in my front pocket.
"You don't have to buy anything for me, just come back safely." It was a mobile phone message I received from my friend. It seemed to be the same idea that I got from my family as well. Nobody was expecting anything from me and my mum but to merely come back safely.
"Flight BA616 will be leaving shortly, please could all passengers be at the boarding gate number 33, this will be the last warning."
A lady was calling our boarding gate number and it was time to enter the plane, her voice was gentle and soothing and it calmed my nerves down as we were walking towards the gate, I could finally see our plane and it was gigantic!! My anticipation grew as my mum lead the way to our seats and I released we were walking quite a long way to the back of the aircraft, then we arrived and we had reserved the two window seats near the back of the plane. I had never imagined it

A year ago, I held a completely different feeling about Valentine's Day. I recall counting down to the days to February 14th– spilling my overwhelming enthusiasm to celebrate the love I had for the love of my life then. As much as I hate to sound annoyingly materialistic, I secretly kept a little desire that a date on Valentine's Day would be more special than usual. At the very least just to stray away from our typical pizza bar and for me to have the perfect reason to ditch the Aeropostale basic tank top and put on a cute little dress. I honestly do not need him to take me to an exclusive restaurant where the waiter eventually shows up with a bill worth half of a thousand each time we go out for dinner. Maybe somewhere more meaningful or romantic for a change. Some place significant that we will remember where we open a part of ourselves. Discussing on our amazing moments in life and our relentless insecurities over the years. Our endless hopes and dreams.
Moving along, as I wrap myself in my blanket releasing all my thoughts in this post, I realised that my feelings for Valentine's Day had ceased to exist. I am contented just to witness so much joy in front of my eyes, as my best friends received gestures of love and appreciation from their special ones. To be able to share the moment with Sonya as she pulled open the locker door just to find pieces of hearts nicely decorated around a stalk of rose and a note. To be able to find pictures full of smiles on Melissa's face
