I know we’ve all done it. Had a great idea and sat on it. Sat on it long enough that someone else came to market with it before we could. Why? Is it the money? Is it the know-how? Is it the connections? Why is that other person sitting on your stack of cash right now? My guess is that nine times out of ten, we didn’t believe we could do it.

The wraps market is unique in the fact that every day, you come across an “Oh shit!” moment. One where you think, “If I only had an XYZ gadget, it would make this install so much easier.” Every new job and every new vehicle presents new opportunities for your mind to expand and explore your tool pouch to find the most efficient install technique to complete the task at hand. Yet, sometimes that tool isn’t in your pouch. Or maybe, it’s there, but it’s three tools that should be one. Or maybe it’s a new training technique or class you’ve developed. Something you can start and make your own. Or, perhaps it’s a much-needed industry magazine serving the needs of an amazing niche market?! Who knows!

One thing is for sure, the saying nothing ventured - nothing gained is true 100% of the time. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. If you’re not willing to bet your (proverbial) balls and shake on it, you’ll never achieve greatness.

Over the last 20 years, I’ve seen amazing innovations. I’ve seen game-changers like Knifeless Tape. I’ve seen the meteoric rise of The Wrap Institute. I’ve seen tools created out of thin air and molded in front of my eyes by the team at YelloTools. Every day people are working to fulfill their vision, not taking no for an answer, utilizing every resource at their disposal, to make it happen… so what’s holding you back?
