Why Your Immune System Balance is Important When it comes to your immune health most people do not think much about it. Your immune system is what keeps you healthy, it protects you every day and supports you when you are sick. It is your bodyguard that only works for you. The immune system is also very complex. It not only affects your overall well-being it affects your energy levels, your skin, and so much more. Most just think of their immune system as little invaders that fight off the bad germs but immune systems are so much more. This is why it is important to keep your immune system healthy and balanced.

What is the Immune System and Its Importance? The immune system can be defined as a complex network of cells and proteins that protect your body against infection. Your immune system also keeps a record of every germ it has ever fought off that way next time, it can fight it off quicker. The immune system is made up of physical barriers which can include saliva, the respiratory tract, and the gastrointestinal tract. It is important for healing and repair in your body and if it is over or under-stimulated you can run into issues.

How to Maintain a Healthy Immune System? Now that you know how important your immune system is to your body and why you need to keep it balanced you might be asking yourself, what to do next. Eating healthy, taking a probiotic, and certain vitamins can help improve your gut function which in return keeps your immune system happy and regulated. Probiotics are a great way to help your gut if you are feeling stressed but eating a balanced diet can always help you. Pay attention to eating your fruits, your vegetables, and yes even your carbohydrates, do not skimp as you need a balanced diet, not a diet centered around just one food group. Vitamins A, C, E, and D can all help improve your gut health but you should speak to your doctor before you just start taking a wide variety of vitamins. Being in tune with your body and knowing when something is not right is the best line of defense for any illness you may encounter. While your immune system is meant to fight off the bad germs it needs your help in keeping it in top shape so it can continue to do its job. If you think
