Gel polish is a type of nail polish that is cured or hardened using UV light. It is thicker and more durable than traditional nail polish and can last up to 2-3 weeks without chipping or peeling.
To use gel polish, the nails must first be cleaned and prepped, including filing and buffing the nails
A base coat of gel polish is applied and cured under a UV lamp for about 30-60 seconds. Then, one or more coats of color are applied and cured under a UV lamp between each coat for about 30-60 seconds. Once the final coat is applied, a top coat is added and cured under a UV lamp for about 30-60 seconds.

The nails are then cleaned with alcohol to remove any sticky residue.
Gel polish can be removed by soaking the nails in acetone for 10-15 minutes or using a special gel polish remover
It's also important to note that gel polish can only be applied on clean and dry nails, and should be applied with a thin coat to avoid any lifting or chipping.
