Wrap up because winter’s well and truly arrived and SDL has plenty on offer to keep you active and warm this winter!

We have many exciting events to look forward to, kick-starting 2016 with our popular Family Fitness Fiesta, 3rd January at Worthing Leisure Centre. And for those with ‘new year, new start’ resolutions for getting fitter and healthier, there’s the six-week Weightloss and Lifestyle Challenge during January and February.

Many of you will be aware that we became a Trust in spring 2015 and we are delighted with the progress so far. Business moves from strength to strength and our customer usage suggest steady growth in all areas including a busy 2016 diary of events, corporate hire bookings and parties at Field Place Manor House.

We've also strengthened our position within the local community, improving health and wellbeing to those who need it most, particularly within our hugely successful Exercise Referral Scheme.

The New Year also welcomes romance with newly engaged couples needing to look no further Field Place Manor House. Visit this fabulous 18th century venue, fully staged for a wedding by the best local wedding suppliers, in all its glory on Sunday 28th February. Open day bookings not required just turn up and enjoy your wedding day experience.

Later in the year we are delighted to welcome back Chapterhouse Outdoor Theatre to perform Emily Emily Bronte’s classic play, “Wuthering Heights”, at Field Place, following the sell-out “Pride and Prejudice” in 2015.

Centre Membership Non-FIT4

Centre Membership is a great option for those more infrequent users of our facilities or for those that are affiliated with one particular sports related activity. For example, if you are only interested in playing badminton or swimming and can only attend once a week, Centre Membership would be your cheapest option.

Small Group Training Timetable

When becoming a Centre Member, you pay a one-off fee each year and then receive a reduced member’s rate on activities. Centre Membership also means that you get early booking priority with the ability to book up to 7 days in advance.

Child Admissions Policy Child Admissions Policy All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult (16 years or over) in the water in all public swimming sessions

0 - 3 Years Old







Children Aged 3 years and under must be accompanied on a 1 adult : 1 child basis.

This is regardless of whether the child is wearing a buoyancy aid.





Where an adult has 1 child aged 3 or under and another aged 4, 5, 6 or 7 then the younger child must wear an appropriate buoyancy aid.

4 - 7 Years Old







Children Aged 4, 5, 6 or 7 years must be accompanied on a 1 adult : 2 children basis as a minimum.

This is regardless of whether either child is wearing a buoyancy aid.

Children aged 8 years and over do not need to be accompanied. It is therefore down to parents to be confident that their child’s swimming ability is of a suitable standard to not need adult supervision.

This policy has been written following Risk Assessments being carried out taking into account the design, layout and type of pool; the swimming ability and age of children and whether approved buoyancy aids are being worn by non-swimmers. We have also used Guidance from Chartered Institute For The Management of Sport And Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

Parking

A pay and display car park is located at the front of the building. Charges apply between 9am and 6pm and refunds will only be given in this period. We refund £1.00 per hour up to a maximum of 2 hours. Two tickets will be issued, one should be placed in the car and the other handed to reception on arrival.
