In this sentimental season-opening concert, A.J. Croce, son of late singer-songwriter Jim Croce, performs his father’s beloved tunes — from “Operator” to “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim” to “Time in a Bottle,” written for A.J. — mixing in his own arrangements and songs that influenced both musicians. After decades making his own musical mark, the renowned pianist and vocalist created this heartwarming ode to his father’s musical mind.

OCTOBER 15 at 3:00 pm & 8:00 pm Having been brainwashed by a culture that worships the Kardashians over character, delusion over truth and selfies over self-effacement, comedian Robert Dubac finds himself stuck in a coma of stupidity. Described as one of the most hilarious, intelligent and scorching satirical attacks on idiocracy since Mark Twain, this quick-witted comedic production is an ode to human mediocrity — a razor-sharp roast of the absurd that’ll leave you laughing and thinking at the same time.

Beyond the Stage ENGAGE BEYOND THE STAGE
Whether you’re 8 or 80, a mover and shaker or a contemplative observer, the Wortham Center has a variety of opportunities for deeper engagement with the arts, artists and other arts enthusiasts beyond performances.
Master Classes
Dive into the creative process, refresh and refine your skills and connect with a community of life-long learners in special workshops and master classes led by visiting dance, music, and theatre performers.
Pre- and Post-Show Discussions
Ask the artists! Select guest artists will host pre- and post-show discussions, providing deeper insight into the performance and their process. Discussions are FREE to all ticket holders. To attend a pre-show discussion, arrive 60 minutes prior to performance time. To attend a post-show Q&A, simply stay after the performance.
Ongoing Classes
Hone your skills, try something new, connect with others and prioritize your health and wellness in Wortham’s revolving series of classes for youth and adults in dance, yoga, meditation and more!
Summer Camps
In summer 2023, kids can discover the fun and freedom in expressing themselves through the performing arts with exciting summer camps hosted by the Wortham Center.
