Language on Egypt’s chances, Gomaa supposed, “We have some welfares from contributing in the AFCON. We have young players about 14 of them played in the rivalry for the first time. They were able to get some knowledge, and we hope to see that translate when we play against Senegal in the playoffs. Senegal’s the top side in Africa, and in the AFCON, we played 120 minutes beside them and only lost on penalties.”

The former Al Ahly legend, who made over 100 international arrivals for the Egyptian national side, also lauded the FIFA Arab Cup last year.
