Another Qatari volunteer, Hamad Mohammed Ali, 25, is a law student at Lusail University. He was part of the audience during the inauguration of Al Thumama. By volunteering, I learned organizational skills and how to give back to my country, which gave me everything I could ask for. I am proud to be a part of the Al Thumama ordination ceremony and I would encourage anyone to sign up to volunteer. It is a great opportunity to learn new skills and create new relationships and knowledge.

Irene Theodoropoulou, 39, of Greece, has lived in Qatar for 11 years and works as a professor of languages at Qatar University. He helped the fans get to their seats and answered all the questions they had. I wanted to be a part of Qatar's history in the football world cup, said Theodoropoulou.

The stadium is a treasure that I have been impressed with and volunteering during the first game has been a great experience. Theodoropoulou continued: Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet people from different walks of life. This opened my eyes and helped me to be more flexible and adaptable.
