The project, entitled Integrating Power in Football, helped promote peace, resilience, and inclusion among youth in disadvantaged communities in Argentina, Iraq, Myanmar, and Uganda. The youth have benefited from the Generation Amazing football development strategy, which uses the game to teach important life skills such as leadership, solidarity, and gender equality, in partnership with IFRC's Agents of Behavioral Change project. Both of these programs are integrated and tended to meet the needs of the local context and the challenges in the relevant countries have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 epidemic. The joint program has reached 1,400 direct beneficiaries and 19,000 total beneficiaries in 24 communities through a mixed curriculum and 72 different sub-projects. In nine communities in Argentina, the program included the renovation of football fields and stadiums to provide safe areas for conversation, exercise, and play, while learning essential life skills with a special focus on comprehensive first aid, health education, nutrition, and holistic health promotion, parental skills and care.
