The main poster depicts the traditional headdresses being thrown into the air, symbolizing celebrations and the popularity of football throughout Qatar and the Arab world. Seven supporting posters show the Arab world’s love for football and the sport’s ability to unite families.

Scores of special guests attended the launch in London, including the official Ambassador of the Qatar World Cup 2022 David Beckham. The event marked the unveiling of the poster as a new addition to the Design Museum's Football: Designing the Beautiful Game exhibition, which is the first public exhibition poster outside of Qatar.

During the event, Al Muftah explained the story behind the main poster, as well as seven supporting pieces of art. Al Muftah, along with other special guests, signed a poster, donated by The Design Museum. The Qatar World Cup 2022 poster was added to the Design Museum Football Show: Design a Beautiful Game, featuring examples of all posters of the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Women's World Cup from 1930 to 2018. The stadiums that will host both games during the tournament, were built by British architects.
