Shesays, "Setting up a clinic from scratch is daunting as you have all the money going out for rent and bills but it takes time for people to know you are there and to build up the trust with the local community."

OIhavealwaysbeenpassionate aboutraisingmoneyforcharity whenIcanandsoItrytoholda charitydayatleastonceayearto helpalocalcause.Myfirstchild wasbornin2009andthiswasa difficulttimeforthebusinessasit wasstillrelativelynewandtrying tojuggleababyandabusiness wasnoteasy. Ihadmysecond childin2011andwasalsomadea FellowoftheBritishChiropractic AssociationduetotheworkIdid ontheCouncil. Asthechildren grewandstartednurseryand schoolIhadmoretimeto dedicatetothebusinessandthe clinicreallytookoff.

In2017whentheclinicturned10 weheldacharityballandraised over£1500forcharity. Wealso startedtohavemorepractitioners attheclinicandmoredisciplines includingPhysiotherapy, OsteopathyandPodiatry.

JustasCovidtookholdandthe countrywentintolockdownthe opportunitycameupformeand myhusbandtopurchaseanold banktoturnintoclinicpremises. Thiswasaveryscarytimebutwe knewanopportunitylikethis wouldn'tcomeupagain. The buildingwassomuchbiggerthan ourcurrentpremises. Currently wehad3treatmentroomsandthe oldbankhadthepotentialfor6 treatmentroomsdownstairswith afurther3upstairsplusastudio.

InSeptember2020wepurchased theoldbankandworkstartedon turningitintoaclinic. Asbestos hadtoberemovedandallthe electricsneededredoing. Atfirst thebuildinglookedworsethan

everandwewonderedifwehad donetherightthing. Butinjusta coupleofmonthseverything startedtocometogether. Aswe wereinanotherlockdownwe spenteveryweekendwiththe childrenattheclinicpullingoff oldwallpaperandpainting.

Theclinic hasgonefromstrengthto strength.
