Ianlearnedthathecouldconquerany challengebyjugglinggriefwiththe responsibilitiesofbeingafather, husband,andexpandinghisnascent business.2017wastheworstyearof hislife,andhewantedtogiveupso manytimes.However,Ianalways foundthestrengthtogetupthenext dayandtryagain.Nobiggerobstacle couldhavebeenthrowninthewayof thebusiness,buttheblowscontinued comingasamassivehurricanein September2017destroyedthehome andmarket,and,ofcourse,theteamall

hadtodealwiththepandemic's challengesthefollowingyear.

Oneofmyfriends,whosefatherdrove shuttles,suggestedthetransportation industryasanoption.Therewasabig eventhappeninginMonterey,acity locatedclosetomyhome,soIknew transportationcompanieswouldneed drivers.Iwentthroughthephonebook andcalledtaxicompaniesinthearea. BecauseofthewayIpresentedmyself, agentlemansuggestedthatItry limousinesinstead.That'showIstarted workingforSkylarkLimousineandcut myteeth.

Tellusabouttheinceptionofthe company.Howdiditallstart?

Iboughtmyfirstcarfor$8,000inLos Angelesin2009.WhenIgotthecar hometoSanJoseandtookittothe dealershipforsomewarrantywork,I foundoutthatthecarIthoughthad 139,000milesreallyhad230,000 miles.WhatIthoughtwasasoliddeal wasbaseduponacompletelie.That taughtmealotfromDayOneabout makingsuretodomyhomeworkinthe futurebeforemakingother investments.

Iwasfocusedonsupplementingother limousineservicesthatsentworkto me.Iperformedservicesasasubcontractortotheiroperation.Iammost gratefultocompanieslikeGateway Limousine,MosaicGlobal Transportation,andMusicExpress.I becameknownasthego-tocontractor inmyareabecauseIwasalwaysouton theroad.Ifanyotherlimousine companyneededhelpinourarea,I wastheretocoverthosetrips.Itwas beneficialformeandbeneficialfor them.
