The Pan African Youth Union seeks to promote the health and well-being of young people throughout the continent. This mission requires a commitment to equal access to health products and services that contribute directly to community health and hygiene.
The WASH&WEAR Impact Project is a collaborative effort of innovators and distribution partners working across sector lines to provide disease prevention, hygiene promotion, and menstrual health services in single-site community led interventions. Improving the lives of young Africans by addressing multiple health issues efficiently and effectively.
To highlight the power of African innovation and ingenuity, products used in the WASH&WEAR initiative are Africanmade, eco-friendly, and contribute directly to the employment and empowerment of African youth.

Presenting and practicing proper hygiene techniques to reinforce the adoption and use of UNICEF developed WASH principles.

It is 100% medical-grade silicone and is WHO’s WASH considerate and environmentally-friendly.
One menstrual cup saves 89kg of CO2 emissions and is the only sustainable, scalable menstrual solution to end period poverty.
The cup has been successfully accepted across Africa in rural communities, refugee camps, prisons & schools. A recent 7 year study shows the menstrual cup reduces HSV-2 and bacterial vaginosis and increases good bacteria.
