Our Educational Approach

We partner comprehensively with schools and districts to integrate global competence in K-12 teaching, learning, and culture This is a dynamic process that isn’t a one-size-fits-all program model. The ideal partnership is a minimum of three years, with peer network supports offered beyond this time To ensure sustained impact, we anchor this work in four overarching principles:

Each year of our Comprehensive School Partnership includes a launch workshop to ground in the Evidence-Based Principle that is the focus of that year, one-on-one coaching to support educators and school and district leaders in implementing this principle in their classrooms, and two deep-dives at strategic times throughout the year to surface common themes that have come up during coaching sessions Additional supports may include New Teacher Onboarding, Administrative Coaching, Globally Competent Leadership Workshop, and Community and Caregiver Engagement.

Cultivating Connections: Our Year 1 focus is to build educator skill to foster strong relationships, psychological safety, and belonging so staff and students are able to engage in the work of whole school change

Year 1 Year 3

Fostering Knowledge-to-Action: In Year 3 of partnership, we extend the work of active, interdisciplinary learning and inquiry to include a focus on taking informed action Students work to identify and explore issues that are pertinent to their local and global communities

School Network

After the conclusion of active partnerships, World Savvy schools become part of a national network of schools and districts learning from each other and supported by continued World Savvy resources

Promoting Active Learning

Through Inquiry: Year 2 fosters educator skill in creating learning environments where students are able to be curious, take risks, fail forward, and focus on competency growth through the lens of curricular content

Reflect & Adapt: An integral part of every step of a World Savvy partnership, we create space and build educators habits to reflect and to respond to opportunities and needs
