Taylor Cobb Key Staffer Journalistic roles: Newspaper editor College plans: Dordt College; undecided Parents: Darren and Tami Cobb About: Taylor excelled in his role as editor. He was in charge of the design and layout of the monthly publication. He assigned news stories to the staff, edited all work, set due dates and led staff meetings. Taylor also wrote articles, headlines and captions. He served as a photographer for several events including basketball and wrestling. Taylor understood the many roles and responsibilities necessary to producing a newspaper and worked until the job was done. Tim Munger About: The criteria for this award is truly exemplified by Emma. Not only is she extremely intelligent, she also is a picture of good character, leadership and school citizenship at St. Albert. She is one of the chairpersons for Kids Against Hunger and has had numerous fundraisers for the organization. She tutors students at SA and is a student aide in our elementary. Her leadership skills do not go unnoticed by staff as well as students.

John Theulen Key Staffer Journalistic roles: Chief of photography for newspaper and yearbook three years College plans: University of Iowa; journalism Parents: Julie and Jeff Theulen About: John has done it all. As photo chief for three years, he has shot every sport and event or made sure someone was there with a camera. Some of his fabulous pictures were taken during the hot summer months when no one was in school or at events far from town. John paid attention to the smallest details, like when cameras needed recharging or pictures needed deleting. Besides this responsibility, John would volunteer to design yearbook pages and newspaper spreads. And he began writing a monthly food critic story for the paper.
