Fitch Learning, the global leader in financial training, today announced that it has successfully registered its CISI Combating Financial Crime Qualification as meeting the UK's statutory requirements for anti-money laundering (AML) training. The Fitch Learning AML qualification meets the requirements of the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and is valid for three years. It builds on Fitch Learning's existing suite of qualifications, which includes the Fundamentals of Financial Regulation and Fundamentals of Risk Management and Compliance, both of which are supported by industry bodies and regulators across Europe. "We are delighted to have received this acknowledgement from a statutory authority," said James Carver, Managing Director at Fitch Learning. "This is strong validation of our AML curriculum, which was developed by our industryleading subject matter experts in response to increased demand from firms looking to meet regulatory obligations." Staying ahead of the curve In an increasingly complex and fast-changing financial environment, financial institutions are facing increasing pressure to detect and mitigate financial crime risk. This has led to a shortage in qualified and skilled professionals who can understand and apply best practices in combating financial crime. Fitch Learning and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) are pleased to announce the recent launch of the CISI Combating Financial Crime Qualification (CCFQ), a new, highly specialised qualification designed to equip professionals with the technical knowledge, applied skills and practical understanding needed to effectively combat the risks of financial crime.
