PROJECT COORDINATION

OUR PROCESS:

ORDER ENTRY/MANUFACTURING/SHIPPING: • Receive client sign-off/purchase order • Verify order • Place order with factory • Receive/review factory acknowledgments • Communicate change orders to factory • Monitor manufacturing status reports

PRE-INSTALLATION: • Verify site conditions & field measurements • Generate installation documents • Monitor building progress/status • Coordinate building access, dock/elevator access • Review security measures • Determine staging area • Finalize labor requirements • Coordinate installation schedule with all trades

DESIGN

Once the sales person has assisted the client in the selection of product, the design team begins their process.

A member of the design team is given floor plans, product details, and parameters for each project they are assigned to.

With this information, a space plan is configured, and product is drawn into the floor plan.

It is the designers job to create a visual representation of the project, and to specify each part and piece that will create a functioning space for the client. Visuals include floor plans, 3D line drawings, and 3D renderings.

INSTALLATION

• Track product from factory to job site • Manage product delivery • File freight damage/short shipments claims • Coordinate installation phasing with other trades • Install panels • Install components • Complete final installation detail and cleaning • Identify punch list items • Owner review and sign-off

WARRANTY

A warranty is a promise.

Here’s ours: 12 years, 3 shifts, labor included

Our warranty covers everything—including electrical components, casters, pneumatic cylinders, tilts, and all moving mechanisms. It recognizes the changing nature of work and the need for products that can stand up to continuous use.

And it means that when warranty work is performed in the U.S. and Canada, Herman Miller foots the bill.

At Herman Miller, we work for a better world around you. Our products—and our promise to stand behind their quality 100 percent—are designed to improve your environment whether it’s an office, hospital, school, home, an entire building, or the world at large.
