When many of us think of "play," children's activities are the rst things that come to mind. But the drive to play is not unique to children, and it is just as important for adults of any age to have opportunities for play. Being able to play has been linked to better overall well-being in adults, whereas lack of play has been linked to depression and less of an ability to adapt to life's challenges.
The Worcester County Library encourages you to "Find Your Spark at the Library," and engage in your preferred type of play through our programs and activities. If you are inspired by arts and crafts, check out the OC Knitting Group, which meets on Tuesdays at 10:30 am at the Ocean City Branch. Or nd your spark in the monthly theme of Snow Hill's Inspiration Challenge; see details on pg. 12.
If you prefer to play games, join one of our clubs, like the Backgammon Club at the Ocean Pines Branch (pg. 14). Or, visit the Berlin Branch for their Song Celebration programs (pg. 16).
The pages of this booklet are lled with ways you can be inspired at the library.
How will you Find Your spark ?
