Celebrate the arts with season tickets!

Celebrate a Sensational Season of Arts in 2012 Enjoy an amazing performing arts season full of classical music, dance, rock and roll, sports-themed music, cartoon characters, patriotic fanfare, award-winning children’s performers and more at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in 2012. The Pavilion showcases nine exhilarating Houston Symphony performances, with new productions and old favorites. Plus the Texas Music Festival Orchestra returns for a free concert featuring talented young artists. And the 17th Annual Children’s Festival erupts with family fun in the fall.

Join us as we celebrate Houston Symphony Music Director Hans Graf’s farewell season with two classical performances in September - Latin American Classical Sept. 6 and Evening with Brahms Sept. 21. The Symphony’s 2012-13 season will be Graf’s grand finale after 12 years at the helm of this world-renowned orchestra.

Kicking off the season is a lineup of stellar performances including The Music of Queen: A Rock Symphony April 20, The Art of Baseball with the Houston Symphony and “Voice of the Houston Astros” Milo Hamilton April 25, Houston Ballet’s spectacular staging of the Romanticera classic, Giselle, May 4, and a sizzling performance of Hot Night in Havana featuring Tiempo Libre and the Houston Symphony May 24.

Get into the spirit of Halloween with a “spooktacular” concert full of tricks, treats and bone-chilling music at Hocus Pocus Pops Oct. 12. Daddies, mummies and little ghosts and goblins can dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes. Take a ride on the Great Pumpkin Express and have a blast at Radio Disney’s Graveyard Smash Dance Party!

This summer, more than 100 gifted musicians from around the world are showcased with the Texas Music Festival Orchestra, a FREE summer concert extraordinaire June 22. These amazing young artists perform Richard Strauss’ “Death and Transfiguration,” Op. 24, and Brahms’ Symphony No. 3. Then ignite your patriotic spirit at the FREE Star-Spangled Salute July 3 featuring the Houston Symphony and all your patriotic favorites including Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” with cannons blasting from the top of the hill. Joining the symphony are AJ Swearingen and Jonathan Beedle to perform their remarkable tribute to Simon & Garfunkel. It’s Americana at its finest! Emmy Award-winning creator and conductor George Daugherty is back with Bugs Bunny at the Symphony, a spectacular new fusion of classic Warner Bros. Looney Tunes projected on the big screen and their TM & © Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. exhilarating original scores played live! (s12) Bugs Bunny returns with an even bigger cast of zany characters including Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner and more. New to the concert are special guests Tom and Jerry In The Hollywood Bowl, The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo!

At the 17th Annual Children’s Festival Nov. 10 and 11, The Pavilion is transformed into a giant playground of fun for the young and young at heart as awardwinning children’s performers educate and entertain during two days of non-stop fun and excitement. Music, dance, comedy, arts and crafts, games, face painting and more are around every corner.
