COMMUNITY BENEFIT FOUNDATION It Takes a Little Paint and a Lot of Love For the past five years, Sean McCarthy of Jackson McCarthy & Associates takes time most weekends to drive a mile from his home to the Sepulveda Basin to paint the Balboa Boulevard bridge. McCarthy, chair of the WVWC Beautification Committee, joined dozens of west San Fernando Valley chambers of commerce volunteers to whitewash the tops of five L.A. River bridges during a Mayor’s Day of Service cleanup five years ago and has continued ever since. He is one of the few who really takes the time to show he cares.
